holy shit. glendower is cabeswater. they found him, woke up, and asked for their favor (bringing gansey back to life). "cabeswater was not a forest. cabeswater was a thing that happened to look like a forest right now." but what was it before? "cabeswater was not quite mortal." implying that at least part of it is/was. glendower surrounded himself with psychics and magicians and dreamers and tir e e'lintes, and how convenient that adam, ronan, and blue were attached to cabeswater in those same ways. throughout the series, gansey is consistently presented as being like glendower, because he is glendower, because cabeswater brought him back to life. noah told him he will live because of glendower—not because glendower saved him the first time (that was noah, choosing what would become of his sacrifice. an unwilling death for a life.) but because glendower saved him the second time by giving gansey his life force. there was nothing but bones in that cave because glendower was cabeswater the whole time.
