Welcome to my autistic corner of the Internet! Writing is my special talent. Fanfic, discussions, debates, researching, I love it all. (That be the Twilight Sparkle in me š¦)
I talk deeply about my interests. I'm trying to be as fair and respectful as possible when commentating on topics. I will not stray from speaking out if certain discourse is bothering me.
PLEASE NOTE: This is my first time actively participating in fandoms. If I mess up along the way, I ask for guidance instead of condemnation. I'm a human being just like you.

I canāt say this enough, even as a full grown adult, a fully degreed librarian, who has read many things, many types of books.
A Series of Unfortunate Events is masterful.
It pulls from all worlds of knowledge, all variations of literature, religions, philosophies, cultures, even cuisine. Itās not just a fictional story of a secret organization and some orphans, itās a metaphor for censorship, for the corruption of the justice system, the neglect of the foster system, the questionable nature of public education, but the equally complex nature of sheltering yourself from harsh truths, even if those truths could also help you.
The morality of the neutrality of librarians (a phrase which here means, āwhether or not a librarian should give a patron whatever they ask for, even if what they want is misinformationā). The endless search for answers in a confusing world. The rather bleak understanding that every generation basically acts the same way as the previous ones, unaware of the neverending cycle. If there are really such things as āgoodā and ābadā people. And the eventuality and unavoidability of death.
And Snicket, as the readerās guide, never tells you what to think, only what certain terms mean, and leaves the reader to come to their own conclusions. He trusts our own intelligence.
I cannot properly convey how much I appreciate Daniel Handler for putting this series into the world.
The use of real people behind green screens is genius. Instead of wasting time trying to replicate the human form, these developers used what was already available.
I like the old-fashioned look of this game's design. Wooden and ornate textures. It'd be cozy if a creepy man wasn't trying to bash our head in. Mechanically, the addition of a black scrying mirror helped my sense of direction.
Onto the story because that's what hooked me.
At first glance, the ghosts haunting this establishment talk about how Jimmy Hall ruined their lives - making everyone think he's a classic case of a sociopath/"evil alter". Note that the developers confirmed he does not have DID, so no demonizing a mental disorder here. A little girl was given alcohol by him, then got so dizzy that she thought she could fly over the stairwell. A psychiatrist committed suicide over allegations that he touched Jimmy (who is still a child at this point). Harvey, the hotel's proprietor and hinted stepdad, tried a confrontation that ended with a showdown between gun and letter opener. Jimmy won by striking this guy's neck with the latter.
However, before we even hear his mother explain his extremely abusive father - there are hints that something else is afoot.
Hugo Punch never grabs the gun as a weapon, instead it's hidden in one of the locked hotel rooms. Why use a bat if you're aim is to kill everyone?
There are two separate instances of him tying people up but never doing anything beyond that + if you succeed in finding Maya's friends, you can actually hear him jump scare them. Yet, they are allowed to leave.
Jimmy started a fire in the basement, which Harvey accuses him of wanting attention, but he is also in said location. Willing to burn alive isn't something an irredeemable person does unless they are trying to escape punishment. Even then, that's a pretty painful way to go.
Hugo Punch is the embodiment of everything evil about Rose's husband/Jimmy's father. Laughing at twisted things like the severity inflicted doesn't even matter.
My own theory is that Jimmy could see ghosts same as Maya. Seeing them die but unable to bring them peace. Yes, his father's spirit possessed him, but there isn't an outlined timeline. Could it be that killing an animal or setting a teddy bear on fire was done out of morbid curiosity? Taking control back by deciding what dark things he wants to see until his father takes it to a whole other level (mass murder). I like that angle just as someone who adores complex characters.
Where's the befriend option? Lol. Maya, go tell this man life isn't all horrors.
The best fanon idea created in the MLP fandom was Twilight losing her alicorn status.
She never wanted this. The castle gifted from the Tree of Harmony a huge isolating place. Ponies using that princess title before her actual name, leaving her visibly uncomfortable. It almost feels like a punishment rather than character growth by how the narrative presents her being an alicorn as something unbearable. Celestia, the adult who Twilight trusted the most during childhood, thrust her into the sparkly abyss.
This poor pony was toyed with, good intentioned or not, and I don't get why that inner anguish wasn't addressed. She had to watch her friends die. Get betrayed again when the alicorn sisters quit ruling Equestria. I'd be driven to insanity, that's for sure.
(Note: I think it would have been a fine conclusion if Twilight was an earth pony. Slowly earning the horn and wings, CONSENTING to her body changing. Now that I said that - she could be an allegory to being a closeted transgender in canon. Growing into an ultra-feminine body you squirm in, the happy ending of getting surgery absent...)
I just feel sad when thinking about Twi after Season 3.

I think fanfiction as a medium is different enough from mainstream literature in the tools it offers writers that it's a shame that it's not talked about more often. And it's not me saying "fanfic is better than books xD" because that sort of mindset is a symptom of people who aren't particularly well read in either medium. I'm just speaking of like... The little things you get to do with a fanfic that you genuinely can't really do in an original story.
I had a big fanfic in a previous fandom where one of the big reveals was the involvement of a kind of infamous villain, whose presence was built up to and foreshadowed through the whole fic until his reveal without ever mentioning his name, so that the name drop would be a gut punch. It worked especially well because of who the villain was and his presence in that fandom space specifically (it's very complicated) and if it was an original story this reveal wouldn't work at all the way it was written in the fic. Because if you don't have a predisposition to think about that character and his relationship to the hero in a very specific way, then just seeing their name won't do much to you; the reveal and the recontextualisation it pushes upon you hinges on your previous knowledge of the source material.
I think it's an interesting tool fanfic authors are given. One of my favorite fanfic of all time is partially a re-imagining of its source material's canon, and something it does is introduce antagonists much earlier in the story or deepen npcs' stories. It then works to evoke a tragic irony that again wouldn't work if you didn't know the source material, and it's something the author obviously has a lot of fun with.
You could call it cheap or a crutch and I mean, yeah, sure, it is a little bit: the fanfic relies on previously established emotional bonds and stakes to achieve its goal, and in some cases it saves the author from having to 'properly' build up its stakes. But I think it's INTERESTING that it has that tool at its disposal. I think it's a fun thing to play with and I think these built in expectations and emotional bonds are especially why I find story driven aus in particular to be fascinating in the amount of ways you can play with them. You know??
Hewwow, do u have more headcanons for Vex? ĖĶā”ĖĶ
Here's a couple I thought of on the spot:
- Aroace, doesn't like romantic gestures. Feels too sappy. Pleasing him is more about being curious. Let him talk about himself and how fear psychologically manifests. He will teach you dark magic tricks if he deems you worthy.
- Sackboy insists on climbing the tall jester's form after his redemption. For seeing the sights and annoying the god playfully purposes. He's touch repulsed as hell because of past execution attempts, but... this kid is pretty gentle and trusts him not to fling them off. It's somewhat nice.
- N.A.O.M.I is on good terms with him. They both find swamps fascinating from an ecological standpoint. Anything mysterious and gloomy they like to debate about. She desires answers while Vex likes to experiment with things.
its an altered version of this green fireflies one
im really proud of this for no reason all i did was change the colors but anyways you guys should still reblog if you use it definitely id be very happy :)))))))))

(LittleBigPlanet) Theory: The Titans used to be Worshippers of Vex
Hello Internet, welcome to Game Theory- *insert catchy theme song*
You might have heard this Vex voice line before = "I've been worshipped by entire civilizations!" Cool lore for a god based on scaring others away, right? Then I remembered the creatures who resemble shadows. Obsessed with devouring creativity and morphing it into destructive terror. Eating metaphors are more on Negativitron's side, but that vacuum's programmed to kill on instinct. The Titans seem to have fun first. Possessing their biggest ally simply because they can show off. Vex's whole shtick is tormenting his prey for a long time.
Newton mentions all nightmares becoming real once these three beasts are released. Vex never shuts up about manipulating reality to fit his dark mind. Here's the key difference though: Vex uses his own creativity for producing fear. The Titans steal it, probably because they fail to have such a big imagination like the master of nightmares. So, their god lost interest in them. Abandoning them or perhaps they escaped whatever territory he ruled over during this period. I doubt he'd care enough to give them a second thought for leaving since boredom already set in.
I have this headcanon that Vex visited Newton's dreams after the Titans second defeat just for mocking points. "Should have gotten on your knees for me, hmm? Lazy frauds you managed to pick."
(Yeah, sure, buddy. You're also imprisoned but go off.)
To my followers (which are more than I expected, thank you for taking a chance on me ā¤):
It's completely okay if the content on this blog is getting too boring/annoying for you. I've noticed the lack of interaction with posts for about a month now. Changing media topics rapidly - coming back on occasion. I didn't think my autism was like that, but apparently it is now. Also, reblogging serious discussions which can be interpreted as activism. I'm mentally tired of minorities getting shat on at every turn, to be 100% transparent. In every city, country, just all around the world.
I hope I'm making small differences in people's lives by viewing my posts. Validation, inspiration, a distraction from irl struggles. If that doesn't apply anymore, I'm not mad or disappointed. I hope you can have those happy feelings by following others. A lowering follower count doesn't matter to me. Only that my thoughts are worth reading.
Proshippers claim to be these super woke āanti-censorshipā advocates but then turn around and worship their precious Ao3 as if the site isnāt actively censoring/silencing any mentions of Palestineā¦
None of them actually give a flying fuck about any of the very real censorship going on right now, so itās always incredibly painful having to witness these idiots go āuhmāactually the true original meaning of proship is just being against censorship!āļøš¤ā
Okay??? Then act like it.
Because no, censorship isnāt a handful of people online reacting negatively towards your toxic yaoi non-con incest and whatever the fuck else fanfic. You are not and never will be oppressed for what you actively chose to indulge in.
You can absolutely be anti-censorship and not be proship/fic or the other silly pointless labels that have been conjured up over the years. Why lie and say these terms mean something theyāre not, when anti-censorship is a perfectly fine and clear label to begin with?
I myself will always believe in being anti-censorship but pro-consequences. I donāt condone or partake in harassment or bullying, but I do believe in the consequences of publishing such things. If you make content that doesnāt handle these serious/dark topics with the care and respect needed to tastefully depict them, then Iām sorry, but donāt be surprised when people do eventually come for you, that is incredibly naive. Receiving criticism and backlash is not censorship, and some people really need to learn that fact. Once your work is publicly up online, a few dead dove and donāt like donāt read tags plastered on it arenāt going to automatically make you exempt from judgement.
Iām so sick and tired of seeing all these serious terms like āfascistā, āpuritanā, ācensorshipā, āpurity cultureā, etc⦠being watered down and thrown around with zero thought or respect for what they actually mean, all just because someone hurt your feelings online by not aligning with your beliefs. It's not the big-brained gotcha moment you think it is; it's just straight up insensitive to the actual victims of these things, and you sound stupid.
I canāt, and never will be able to, take someone seriously the moment they put the hate for their distasteful fetish content on the same level as the terms I mentioned above. People have died in genocides and are still being killed; women in some places are still being shamed and harmed for showing an ounce of sexuality or for simply bleeding once a month (something which to some is still seen an āimpureā); minorities and queer voices are being silenced, and history is being erased. But no, none of that matters, does it? You only care about supposed ācensorshipā when it suits you as a fun little buzzword to use incorrectly.
Anyways, censorship fucking sucks! Dark themes are important and should obviously still be explored in works of fiction. But I have every right to judge losers for jerking it to fictional children and other whack shit like that. āļø
Was it ever confirmed that Mystic Flour's goal of obtaining apathy was to transform all to dust permanently?
If the answer is ambiguous like I think...
Having a 'utopia' where everyone is a blank slate, no major differences allowed, fits her motivations. They're all still living - but ordered on how to go about it. Re-shaped. Purpose being to stay pure in white bliss. Imagine the only thing left in this flour land is Mystic Flour's mighty temple. She cannot rest until any seeds of strife are extinguished.
The white goddess tends to our needs. What could we ever (dare to) wish for?

Yes, the apples look like this now. What did you think) Plants don't need green anymore, and fruits don't need to be bright. But they smell brighter, but the taste, alas, is not so sweet. And the hat is no longer needed. Ah, but what does she look like with her hair down. It's a pity, it's not convenient to workā¦
Page 2- where the princess of the sun defends the good deed she did and Cadence has some⦠concerns.
Technically Twilight is a grown adult (which I very much like about the mane 6. Those girls pay taxes). However; Celestia is possibly thousands of years old. To her, I imagine it must be quite difficult to imagine she might not always know best. How could she be wrong? Sheās only ever acted with good intentions! Sheās wise! Sheās practically a goddess! She was born to do whatās correct for her little ponies, and being an alicorn is the highest of success! Right?
My Details:
-Celestia is the tallest of all the alicorns (and possibly the tallest pony in equestria!) Iām not sure if that comes through though haha
-Cadence followed the path of princess Luna in exploring her nightmare form. Sheās since gotten quite good at unleashing it, and will, if necessary. That other form is like a friend to her and she thinks of it as āworking togetherā within herself.
