Actual, legitimate life advice: get in the habit of thanking your past self for the things you do to make your life easier. Really stop and take a second to appreciate those little things, and mentally say, "Thanks, Past Me!"
Habits form quietly and slowly, but they make a big difference. After a while you realize that your effort matters, and start working for bigger and bigger goals. You start to recognize the good things in your life that other people bring, and it makes your outlook a happier one. Its such a small act, but the payoff is huge.
I cried a lot during the transition from June to July because of a chain of unfortunate events that had happened. I was having one of my worst depressive episodes yet😭😭 So imagine my surprise when I managed to draw anything at all.
I'm so proud of myself for having pulled through and being so productive. This compilation brought me so much joy and celebration. It is a great reminder that no matter how hard things get, I can still survive. I choose to live, and making art is my way to express that.
