I notice Silksong has a LOT of female characters, and while that isn't unusual it handles gender in design in a way I don't see often in media.
In that its female characters are actually allowed to break ideas of femininity, even if its a random npc. Yah got your cool warriors, yer giant blacksmiths, yer weird worm(?) things, and you often wouldn't know they're female just by looking.
They don't have to look like human women, they're funky little bugs. They just need to have a good design that suits them. Same goes for like half the pilgrim enemies. Not to mention they tend to take up the most important roles.
Its not a big deal by any means, but it makes me happy :)
