This belovéd weirdo
Unironically, this is why society would crumble without diversity
pop health science is so annoying bc it'll be like "did you know? eating strawberries will give you mega cancer" and you're like pfft whatever begone influencer. but sometimes then you'll see a reasonably credible article like "Study Shows Possible Link Between Strawberries and Mega Cancer" and you're not usually the type to follow that kind of thing religiously but idk maybe you should consider not eating strawberries? but then there's another article saying "Strawberry/Mega Cancer Study Debunked" and it turns out the original study had a sample size of 3 and was funded by Big Blueberry, and strawberries may have a small connection to mega cancer but only if you are genetically predisposed to mega cancer and eat 50 strawberries every day. so you return to your strawberry eating life. but whenever you eat strawberries in public someone tells you about the mega cancer.
finally found a good way to explain how we experience monoconsiousness i think.! we use the term monoconsiousness to describe ourselves because we see the body as having one stream of consiousness, and we are here to watch it 90% of the time. like Inside Out! wow. plural coded.

shocking news: your favorite character from the media you enjoy in a very very healthy way turned out to be not only your current obsession but also a headmate!!!!
Your pronouns sound like someone clearing their throat
you guys find new ways to hate crime every day
my gender is now canceled everyone stop perceiving it
driving "affirmations" dissociative fugue symptom experienc-er edition:
i live here
just because the weather is different doesn't mean i'm not supposed to be here
just because it's night me doesn't mean i'm not supposed to be here
this is the way i'm supposed to be going
yes you do live here
you have lived here for years
i know how to drive
i will not end up on the other side of the country again
this is the way you drive everyday
you did not make a wrong turn
you are supposed to be here
you are not too dissociated to drive. uh. i think
...nah you'd know. probably.
it's still the same day
an appropriate amount of time has passed between your starting point and your destination. you did not lose time
you are not lost. you literally drive here every day
taking a slightly different route will not make you end up in fugue
you can find your way home even if you get lost!
you will not blink and find your life thrown away even if it doesn't feel like yours right now
people seemingly make out dissociative amnesia out to be like what you'd experience passing out and staying asleep for 9 solid hours but in my experience it's far more like one of those nights where you're really struggling to sleep.
you wake up a few times halfway through the night you wander off to the bathroom before making it back and quickly falling back asleep. you hear some words and you think they're your partner but you might be imagining it. there's a loud banging noise but god knows where it's coming from. someone asks you about classes tomorrow but you don't remember if they really did or if you just imagined it. you go to the bathroom again only to realize once you're there that you never got up out of bed.
you wake up a few hours later and get on with your day. well aware of the time that passed but you're really not sure which bits were dreams or not, and if you don't think about it actively it'll probably fade from your memory before you realize. doesn't mean you don't remember some things or didn't notice the time pass, it's just really really messy
There's nothing wrong with you having a different gender(s) and/or orientation(s) from your source. It's okay to be different from your source. A different gender(s) and/or orientation(s) doesn't deny your identity.

Small reminder that DID is often a covert disorder and overt DID is actually pretty rare. A person could go their whole life without knowing they have DID because that's the point. You do not need to know who you are all the time or who's fronting or need to feel like you're a faker because you act the same pretty much all the time. You do not need to act drastically different between your headmates to be valid.
we have to remind ourselves all the time even if you took two fully developed completely random guys and somehow scientifically managed to shove them into one brain and body and left them there for a while, there is zero shot they'd not end up outwardly very similar/inconspicuous to the unsuspecting eye. even moreso considering it'd be less like strangers and more like siblings, since everyone in most systems circumstances have come from the same environment even if they have completely different perspectives and memories of it.
"hmm idk i can vaguely and very detachedly remember this even though it's not *my* memory and i wasn't fronting so maybe i never had DID after all ever!" hmmm it's almost like we don't have DID because we have OSDD! and that's a different disorder! often with lower amnesia barriers! rahhh
