This comic only mentions different hallucinations based on sensory modality (which sense it impacts) but there are other ways to categorise hallucinations such as the theme of the hallucination or the severity of the hallucination

you go through your day and you come home. someone asks you how your day was. you try to think back. nothing is there. you know you left for work cause you have an alarm set, theres gas missing from your car, the food in your lunchbox you always pack is gone, and your body hurts a lot. but the details are gone. the emotions that you experienced during that time are so faint it barely feels like your own. maybe it wasn't even you in that moment.

and someone is still standing there, waiting for an answer. and you say, "it was good." because well, you are alive and you are home and you are happy you are home. that is the only thing you know in that moment. you feel good now. so that is the emotion you say you feel. but you try to sit and remember what you did all day and there is nothing. you don't really know.

and every day it feels like your brain is just dumping memories into a trash pile. People tell stories that you were there for but you don't remember it. People show you pictures, so you must have been there. there is evidence. but you cannot recall.
