I was thinking on parallels between FFXV and FFXVI (especially Luna x Noctis and Clive x Jill) and I realised a small thing about symbolism.
Both stories have a very strong symbolism related to celestial objects. Luna and Jill are connected to the Moon of their respective worlds (Luna has a name meaning Moon, her color code is white, her jewelery is moon themed - Jill and Clive always look at the Moon together, the Moon reminds Clive of Jill, even their theme "Moongazing" references the Moon). Noctis is connected to the Sun as the chosen king, the king of Light, the one whose sacrifice brings back the dawn. Clive is connected to Metia (the red star which always stays near the Moon), it has the color of fire, the strength of its light reacts to Clive's state, Clive's theme (My Star) at the end of the game also references it.
However it is very interesting how the character relationships connect to the celestial objects. Clive and Jill has a strong, close relationship, and they connect with each other's celestial objects as well. Jill prays to Metia, Clive talks to the Moon, they look at them and are reminded of each other. Metia and the Moon are constantly near each other on the night sky. Most of their romantic scenes are under the night sky, both My Star and Moongazing are about their romance as well as the characters.
Meanwhile Luna and Noctis are almost never shown connecting with these objects. Luna is always shown praying or reflecting at night or at dusk - Noctis has most of his self-reflective, or even spiritual moments (when he connects to the gods) in daylight. They never actually call on each other - when Luna helps Noctis, she makes the decision herself, otherwise Noctis always relies on his own powers. They are kept apart by the plot, they do not have the ability to build emotional connections - and obviously, their celestial objects never meet either.
It is just funny how both relationship dynamics seem to be really described by their symbolism.
