Once More With Clarity (AO3) - "The Heroes have lost the war. A desperate last-ditch attempt – to go back in time and make sure none of this chaos ever happens. Endeavour wakes up on the night of Sekoto Peak, the night Touya burned and his family was lost to him forever, determined to set right what once went wrong by taking the slow path to redemption, to be the man his family deserved and the Hero that Japan needed."

180 degrees (AO3) - "When All For One brings an end to the world, Dabi is too numb to care. When he brings an end to Keigo, however… that's a different story."

You have come to accept that you are truly cursed somehow. Magic may not be real but every organization you have ever worked for has been destroyed somehow (embezzling owner, flooding from upstairs, held up too many times, copyright issues, etc).

Some fanfic where someone speaks down to the Jedi Council. I can enjoy both defending and/or bashing them but in the mood for a good dressing down rn.

Welcome to the Void (AO3) - "So now you believe them. What do you do next? Everyone wants to know how the Republic came falling down. Too bad Cara and Din never learned that in school."

sure, the force can do that, why not (AO3) - "Din whips out his blaster and shoots him. Point-blank, in the heart. Anakin Skywalker does not have time to react, and is dead before he hits the ground. Motherfucker."

To See You Again (AO3) - "Feemor is granted his greatest wish - to see his family once again, even if he is a bit too salty at first to enjoy it properly."

Shifting Sands (AO3) - "After stupidly listening to Luke, Leia wakes up on Tatooine. Her day only gets worse."

Under Different Stars (AO3) - "The stars, on the other hand…that's a first. Those don't just change. They shift, depending on which hemisphere you're in, but she's studied enough of space to know she isn't looking at the Milky Way."

Re-create the vibe that meme from Community (You know the one - Troy has returned with pizza and everything is on fire!).

To switch things up a bit, try out some contrast, have some fanfic where Alfred Pennyworth isn't the all-knowing, benevolent granddad seen so often in fic, but rather the opposite in fact. A man who makes mistakes, who hurts people, who enables a toxic environment.

"Thank you, Alfred," he says when the butler brings him coffee in his favorite mug, and drinks it gratefully, positive that it will give him the last jolt he needs to stop Crane. He wakes up hours later in his bedroom at the Manor, feeling sluggish and disoriented with no idea how he got there."

Glass (AO3) - "Appearances mean a lot in the cape world, and even more outside of it. Dick's always been the pretty one, and when an injury to his face disrupts that, it leaves him with time— too much time— to think."

Journey to the Centre of the Multiverse (AO3) - "Or… Jason Todd discovers that he can travel through the multiverse (on top of his usual weirdness, ie, immortality) and chaos ensues."

Let's bring back whimsy. Insert some fairytale nonchalance into our stories. Have elements that are fantastical and simply don't bother to explain.

Nothing But The Dead And Dying (back in my little town) (AO3) - "Dan has just been rescued and is feeling a bit shorter than usual. Jason Todd has just been petitioned like he's a feudal warlord, which has never happened before but he could maybe get used to. They can probably make this work so long as Batman doesn't stick his nose in. Yeah, like that'll happen."

Dad Shaped (AO3) - "After accidentally getting de-aged by the GIW, Danny and Dani find themselves in Gotham and latch onto the nearest undead person they can find to avoid drawing attention to themselves. Jason, said nearest undead person, makes the mistake of feeding them and now they won't go away."

Raising Phantom AU (AO3) - "Jasmine started working at Gotham's Public Library, while having to take care of her baby brother and going to college. Danny is frustrated at having to be in hiding as well as everything else poor in his life. Also there is something off about the man that comes in to check books out. His family included. Batfamily playing a game to figure out these two's life only for things to get serious quickly."

The Son of the Red Hood (AO3) - "Clockwork intervenes in Danny's life so that he can learn all he needs to be king of the Infinite Realms, and hopefully this time he can actually be loved and cared for the way he deserves."

Imprint (AO3) - "He screwed his eyes shut, held his breath, desperately wished that he was back in his safehouse, alone and blissfully unaware. But the weight in his hands remained, and when he opened his eyes, it was to the bean-shaped 'fuck you' the Lazarus Pit had kindly bestowed upon him, arms and legs folded up against his front beneath off-white muslin while tiny lips smacked softly."

Brevity is the soul of wit so have some more oneshot recommendations. Remember, no being rude to writers and demanding more!

The Fox that Bites the Hand (AO3) - "Fox wakes up pissed off. Which (for a good chunk of his life) has been a normal thing that’s happened often enough it shouldn’t really be note worthy. Honestly, it should be more notable that he’s woken up at all considering he’s certain he just died."

Nonna and the Coruscant Guard (AO3) - "Commander Fox is unprepared for what life is really like on Coruscant. The old woman had led a hard life below, being the unofficial head of the night cleaning staff for the Senate has let her care for her extended family. But in the Coruscant Guard, she sees a new family that needs a nonna."

Oh, Mama, Mama (AO3) - "(Eloise Camden died angry, bitter, and disillusioned. Charlotte Linlin lived on, wild, free, and shining bright. The world was never quite the same after.)"

Baby Skitter in DC (AO3) - "A one shot about Batman's morality and the realities of living in a world with superpowers. Children just don't understand enough to grasp the full picture. When kids can have superpowers that can go very badly, very quickly."

Going Native (AO3) - "The New Guy(TM) at Salt Middle School just wants to survive the school year without having to interact with anyone. Really, he doesn't feel like that's too much to ask. Too bad the Quiet Guy(TM) in his class is ruining his life by showing up with actual choke marks on his neck that nobody else seems to notice for some reason."
