✨ How to read a progressed → natal chart (without crashing out lol) ✨

Progressed-to-natal charts are astrology’s way of whispering, “ Here’s who you’re becoming.” Not the personality you were born with — but the one unfolding slowly, quietly, year by year.

🌙 first: what is a progressed chart?

Secondary progressions move your chart one day after birth = one year of life. So if you’re 30, your progressed chart shows the sky 30 days after you were born.

This creates a symbolic chart of inner development — emotional maturity, mindset shifts, identity evolution.

Think of it as your inner weather, not external events.

🔮 step 1: start with the progressed Moon (ALWAYS!)

The progressed Moon is your emotional headline.

Ask: • What sign is it in? → how you process feelings now • What house is it in? → where life feels emotionally loud • What natal planets is it touching? → what’s being activated

This is often where people say: “I don’t feel like myself anymore.” That’s the point.

☀️ step 2: check the progressed Sun (slow but powerful)

The progressed Sun moves about 1 degree per year, so when it changes signs or aspects, it’s huge.

Look for: • Sign changes → identity shifts • House changes → purpose re-orientation • Conjunctions → life themes coming into focus

This is your becoming, not your reacting.

⚡ step 3: look for tight aspects to natal planets & angles

This is where the story gets personal.

Pay attention to: • Progressed planets conjunct natal Sun, Moon, MC, IC, ASC, DSC • Exact or applying aspects (within 1° is strongest)

These show turning points, awakenings, and “I can’t unsee this now” moments.

🧭 step 4: natal chart = HOW, progressed chart = WHEN

This is the biggest mistake people make: Progressions do not replace your natal chart.

Instead: • Natal chart → how you experience life • Progressed chart → when certain themes ripen

Your birth chart is the instrument. Progressions tell you which strings are vibrating.

Progressions aren’t loud like transits. They’re subtle. Internal. Emotional.

You may not see changes right away — but you’ll feel them: • shifts in values • changing goals • emotional closure • new long-term desires

Progressed moon in Scorpio in the 5th house was PEAK sketchy teen era, for me. Always sneaking somewhere to party lol.

When my progressed moon was on the midheaven/10th house, strangers became drawn to me. People would approach me on the street to compliment me. Acquaintances seemed to have an increased interest in becoming my friend.

My progressed moon on the midheaven/10th house also had me posting non-stop. The meme and selfie spamming on my IG story was out of control. I wanted my crushes to look at me, whether we were together or not.

When my progressed moon was in Sagittarius, I was very game to get into verbal altercations and debates with people. I loved the mental exercise of talking to people on a totally different page from me.

A progressed moon in the 9th house included a lot of domestic and international travel for me. A lot of useful language learning and exposure to other cultures.

When my progressed moon entered Pisces, I lived in a series of strange communes to save money. Met many very interesting people, and developed empathy for others that wasn't present in me before.

When my progressed Moon was transiting my natal 9th house, I did my first cross-country adventure, and met people from many different places. Worldview expanded a fair bit.

Progressed moon in Capricorn transiting my natal 8th house got me very serious about finances (because I had no money and no other choice lol). Started that transit broke asl and the only thing to do was grind.

My progressed moon in Aquarius took place when I began getting paid for digital work/content, and kept finding work due to an expansion of my social network. It was overwhelming at times, but crazy how I was meeting more and more people who wanted to pay me for digital media projects.

1st house you are currently in the spring of a brand new thirty year cycle. you probably feel a restless hunger to peel off your old skin and show the world a version of yourself they haven't seen before. this is the time when you change your hair your style or even your name because the person you used to be no longer fits the way you feel inside. you are focused entirely on your own path and you are learning how to take up space again. you are emerging from the shadows and the only person you are trying to impress right now is the one in the mirror.

11th house the pressure to be a success is starting to fade and you are looking for your tribe. your focus has shifted to your friends your community and the collective dreams you share with others. you want to belong to something bigger than just your own career. you are a visionary who is fueled by the group and you find your joy in the movements and the social circles that actually matter. this is a season of friendship and shared hope where you are realizing that we are all much stronger when we stand together.

Neptune in the 11th house: People could project onto you they’re often reacting to a version of you they invented. When reality shows up, they can get confused or pull away you could feel present in group settings but not fully seen people could use you guys as a energy source in groups so its important that when you are low energy and people ask you to hangout it is totally okay to say no! solitude is important! and don't just hangout with anyone your energy is precious You guys naturally sense group dynamics and you can see who is naturally left out of the group. Venus In the 2nd house in Aquarius: My really close friend has this placement and she said that she love's to give her friends gifts and surprise them it makes her super happy. 2nd house rules possessions, money, valuables, and self worth and Aquarius is ruled by the planet Uranus the planet of sudden change. Chances are you probably love gift giving as well. Jupiter in the 8th house: We have a presence that invites emotional honesty and depth partners may feel safe exploring vulnerability with us. I've also noticed people will just buy shit for us because the 8th house rules other people's resources so people are naturally drawn to give or share with us, sometimes without us even asking(Jupiter is the planet of luck). Also this placement is a very big healer placement when it comes to sex so don't let just anyone hit. 💋 Aries risings: We tend to get hated on for no reason. Some people feel challenged or intimidated by us because they're insecure. We have a natural confidence to us, even if we don't feel like it. We can come off intense to others, and people may think we are too much, but that's where our power lies so step into it. You can also use a carnelian necklace to connect more with your body, or just anything that gets us moving, like dancing and working out. Remember, you are forever sexy. 💋 Sun in the 1st house: Privacy is not your friend. You guys attract attention easily, whether it's because of your idiosyncrasies, the way you dress, or the way you style your hair. You guys are meant to stand out!! So if you wanna become more magnetic, do something that makes you stand out: style your hair, dye it, dress differently, get piercings, tattoos. Aries 4th house/IC/Mars: I've noticed people with this placement experienced physical abuse from a family member or it was just around them growing up whether it was there dad or mother. I wish you guys healing. Also obviously not everyone with this placement will experience this. Could have had a chaotic environment. Mars conjunct moon: I knew a guy with this placement out of all of 7 siblings he was the only one who experienced physical abuse from his mother. Not everyone with the placement experiences the same event. If you do have this you could have a complicated relationship with your mother. You guys are expressive, passionate, restless, energetic, emotions can be intense and you guys can get angry quickly but lose your temper just as quickly. But I love you guys down super funny and passionate individuals.

Mars square Neptune: I have this aspect in my chart, and I've noticed that my actions or intentions can be misunderstood by others and by others, I mean men. They can think I'm being flirty with them when I'm just being friendly, or I set a boundary and they misread it as playing hard to get. They project and fantasize about me, but I'm learning to be more clear in how I communicate so I can avoid this. Saturn in the 7th house: Just because you have this placement does not mean you are gonna be single forever or date in, till later. That's just one of the ways it can manifest. Sometimes it means you might date someone older. You may even be super committed to your first partner and marry them. I've seen it play out differently, but it's super important that you love yourself first and surround yourself with people who love you, because you deserve it just like everyone else does. 💋 12th house Synastry: YOOO I do not like 12th house synastry. It's so OD. I have only experienced this as the house person, but it can be so annoying because the planet person can be constantly suspicious of you for absolutely no reason, especially if Mars is in the 12th house(12th house is the house of hidden enemies). There is definitely a psychic connection, more so with the Moon being in there. The Moon person seems to know you emotionally before you even express yourself. They can know things about you before you even tell them. They understand you, and they don't at the same time. Moon in the 8th house: Your guy's emotions are very deep and magnetic. It's very hard for you guys to open up to people, and even if you do, you might not tell them the full story. You guys are emotionally strong people. You may like to be in control of your emotions, very private about your family life, but remember, guys, you do not have to hold everything in and bottle it up. Be selective with what things you tell people only with people you can really trust cause people will try and air that shit out. You could experience jealousy from other women. Love you guys 💋

Pluto in the 10th house/Scorpio/mc: My brother has his Pluto in the 10th house in Scorpio, and my other friend has his Mars in Scorpio. They both said to me at some point that they thought about being a male stripper. LMAO, it makes sense though Pluto is in a public house, the 10th house, in Scorpio, and it wants to leave an intense impression. Scorpio in Mars is usually hyper sexualized. It could work for them if they ever thought about it, but also this is just one of the ways it could manifest. Pluto/Scorpio In the 8th House: You guys have been through some shit. You guys can alchemize your pain, and there is lots of transformation to be had with this placement. You often experience profound transformations through relationships, finances, or psychological growth. You will have to learn how to stand up for yourself because there have probably been moments with people who want to bring you down and see you lose, but you will win in the end. Do not let anybody talk down to you they're jealous. And don't go out giving your energy to anyone you guys could attract energy vampires. Stay sexy love you. 💋 Venus In the 10th/6th House: We are very admired at work. Everyone loves you very beautiful presence. Your coworkers, and especially your bosses, could have crushes on you, and customers flirt with you. With Venus in the 10th house, admiration from bosses and coworkers can be subtle or from afar, especially if it's in a more secretive/chill sign like Capricorn, Scorpio, or Pisces. With Venus in the 6th house, people will let you know if they like you. Coworkers may like you openly, but with bosses it’s usually more subtle. The way you move through everyday life is beautiful and sensual. Cancer risings: They are the sweetest people you will ever meet. They are very intuitive and can sense people’s emotions. They can attract energy vampires. A lot of men like you because you guys have this motherly energy/nurturing energy to you guys and very nostalgic energy, which makes it hard for people to leave you alone. Very expressive with your emotions, unless your ruler is in Capricorn, then it may be a little harder, but you will learn over time to express your emotions, so don’t worry. Love y’all down. Mercury in the 9th house are very chaotic when they tell a story. However it tends to be an organized chaos, they include a lot of side plots and additional infos that aren’t necessarily helpful but very fun to listen to.

Mercury in the 12th house love to speak and share things about themselves but only if they feel comfortable. They usually avoid being in a situation with people they don’t feel comfortable having around.

Mercury in the 1st house come across as very dominant in conversations even though that’s just the way they show interest. Every question they ask and everything they say has a lot of power to it.

Mercury in the 2nd house are prone to talking to themselves (both internally or actually physically). They tend to narrate their life in their head more so than actually sharing their thoughts with others.

Mercury in the 11th house enjoy controversial opinions or very niche topics. They tend to be very analytical and logical, however I’ve seen a lot of mercury 11th housers enjoy conspiracy theories, even if they don’t believe in them it’s simply entertaining.

Mercury in the 3rd house is a placement I see in many people who are very cautious about what they share. However if they encounter someone they like and find interesting, they might overshare very personal information.

Mercury in the 8th house wants to be deeply imbedded in their loved ones‘ lives. They want frequent updates, little details and consistent contact. However they tend to withdraw a lot when stressed or overwhelmed/sick.

Mercury in the 5th house might come across as weird. They display their emotions and opinions in a way that can seem very intense and maybe even purposely overstated, even though it’s just their authentic experience.

Mercury in the 10th house doesn’t do well mentally when they have to wait. Yes, they tend to be patient but the patience tends to take a mental toll on them if it’s something they are expected to exercise over an extended period of time.

Mercury in the 6th house tends to be seen as someone others can easily confide in. They are very calm and collected in times of crisis and turmoil and can keep a secret.

Mercury in the 4th house can come across as “too much“. Every message they send, everything they say has a bit more to it, you have to learn to read between the lines. Because of that, they tend to interpret too much into communication with other people.
