—my updated Channeling routine꩜

I was about to link you to my old channeling post but you know what? I don’t agree with the prep part, so I’m gonna cover this again!

1. Decide who you want to channel.

You can contact essentially everyone that comes to your mind. Not only you can talk with people from your DR, you can talk with even your deities if you believe in them, or aliens, or your higher self, or your ancestors, or your deceased pet or family member, or your soulmate, or truly ANYONE. Just decide.

Example. I want to channel Remus Lupin from my Hogwarts dr.

2. Do a quick (or however long you want) protection around yourself.

I thought this was mandatory but it really isn’t, because if you believe you can attract evil entities then that’s what’s gonna happen to you, therefore if you’re so confident you’re gonna talk to your desired entity then be calm and go on. If you’re unsure and, like me, you get intrusive thoughts, you can simply affirm for protection, hold a crystal, visualise a positive energy shield around yourself, whatever. Then you’re free to start.

Example. Holding a selenite while affirming “I am safe during channeling, I’ll channel Remus Lupin from my DR only, I am divinely protected”.

3. Have a clear picture of their energy.

Say their name (if you know it). You can imagine their energy, their presence, together with their vibes and all there is about them, like their appearance, their scent, and also their voice. Feel them close to you.

Example. I’d imagine Remus’s voice, the smell of chocolate and maybe even smoke, and I’d feel comfort and cozyness.

4. Prove it’s them.

Ask them identity questions you know the answer to, without actually thinking about the answer yourself, it’s not that complicated I promise, but entities may be able to hear your thoughts therefore you have to just give yourself proof it’s really them.

Example. “What creature are you beside a wizard?” and he should reply with “Werewolf”.

5. You have started channeling them. You can now ask questions and talk.

This is all up to you, just talk to them, do whatever you feel like doing with them, you’re pretty much free right at this moment. The medium is up to you: if you want to channel telepathically then you’ll receive answers in the form of intrusive thoughts (they just feel like that to me, but positive most of the time), if you want to channel via pinterest you can ask your question and then refresh the page and look for words or specific images, you can do this with spotify shuffling, or with, simply, tarot cards or other divination tools.

Example. I use mostly telepathic communication but, when I don’t feel confident in my abilities, I’d use pinterest and tarot.

6. End of session? You can now close the contact.

You can do this with affirmations and intention. Or imagining to cut ties with everything or I don’t know.

Example. “I close this channeling session, every contact is now ended”.

🔮 Option 1.

You know each other deeply; you need to balance what each of you gives. There are impulses to seek you out; with you, I feel like new; I talk about you with my friends.

In this situation, I feel that someone here offered something to the other person, but somehow, it wasn’t what was expected. I also feel that in some way you are turning your back on that offer your partner made to you, or perhaps this person has turned their back on you. You can’t stop thinking about what you did wrong, or, Why did you act this way? Or if it was he or she who behaved so badly, you might be the one asking yourself this. Adapt it to your situation. Some of you are wondering, Why did you tell me all that if it wasn’t true? I feel that you’re the one who feels this way. I see there was a very intense exchange of words, or for others, I feel that words were lacking because this person ghosted you or you blocked them. This person wants to come looking for you, but hasn’t made the decision yet. Some of you can’t stop focusing on the why of things how they happened that way and it’s like you want to move on, but somehow, you still can’t let it go. I also sense that there may have been a betrayal involved. Maybe there were disagreements, or it’s as if they took something from you or at least that’s how you feel. On the outside, this person feels very proud, because they swear they got away with it and that they won in some way, but the truth is that they’re trapped in a cycle of regret, because they know it was their fault, they know they hurt you, and that they just ran away. At first glance, it might seem like nothing affects them, but they’re actually sad about your absence. I see that they’ll start reaching out to you, acting like they’re not up to anything—in a more relaxed, chill way—sort of like testing the waters. They’ll probably talk to you casually, like it’s no big deal, sending you a meme or asking about someone else—obviously not directly, because they’re afraid of your reaction. They’ll bring some kind of gift; you might see them in person, and they might visit you at home or work. I also see an informal invitation or something along the lines of a get-together with.

🔮 Option 2:

Past-life connection, emotional imbalance, masks, I hope you come back to me, this connection is divinely protected and bound by destiny.

For some of you, this connection felt almost magical; perhaps you felt that the universe brought that person to you, as if you were part of each other. I sense that you are afraid, or that one of you is afraid of how the other person might react. It could also be that you’re afraid of losing them or something like that. I feel a lot of sadness. I sense that this separation weighs heavily on them. I sense a heaviness in the heart chakra and something trapped or heavy in the throat chakra. This person holds onto both good and bad emotions and tries to suppress them. Someone in this dynamic gave too much and expected the other person to give the same in return, but that wasn’t the case. I sense that your special someone is trying to avoid giving explanations; they also pretend to be fine on the outside—they seem perfect and unflappable, but the opposite is true; obviously, they don’t want you to know. This person is hurting because of the distance and wants you to come back to them. This situation could stem from past lives, where you came to learn and love one another, but certain obstacles prevented that from happening. Don’t worry, this connection is divinely protected and will be resolved in due time, for example, when both of you work on yourselves. For now, it’s time to focus on yourself and on growing. I also sense that this person reminds you a lot of yourself. Your special someone is going through a difficult time where they’ve finally realized what they had with you and what they lost. Your special someone knows and recognizes the relationship and how special it was, but I sense they didn’t know how to appreciate it. I also see that they’re struggling to let go and move on. I sense energy from water signs: Scorpio, Cancer, and Pisces; very strong Scorpio. Take this as it resonates with you. Now I sense that they’ve tried to connect with other people, maybe they have some prospects or someone interested but I see that your special person isn’t very convinced. I sense that they don’t really care; they feel apathetic and compare you to these new people all the time. They tell themselves over and over that it’s not the same.

🔮 Option 3

A pragmatic person, reconciliation on the horizon, masks, I promise to give you everything you deserve, this connection will reach a deep level, I’m ready to be honest, each of us has to do some inner work for the reconnection, I see you from a distance.

It may be that your special someone is adopting or has a dramatic personality. Or it may be that they have very pronounced personality traits, or perhaps they are very stubborn, or find it hard to believe in things—they are more of an actions speak louder than words type. This person pretends to be someone else around others, or perhaps they like to pretend that everything is fine. I also see that they’re watching you from a distance. I’m told that reconciliation is on the way for those who want to get back together, but first you must work on yourselves so that the reconnection can happen. If you decide to restore the connection, it will move to a deeper level. I also see that you’ll give this connection the importance it deserves.I see that they’re feeling anxious at night; or they’re afraid of not getting you back, because I sense an energy of doing impulsive things, nervousness, or agitation, I feel a very abrupt energy. Perhaps like: “Hurry up, we have to do this now, hurry up” like anxious or nervous energy. Your special someone thinks that now they’re finally going to tell you the truth and what they feel and what you mean to them. I do see that they want to offer you something, such as making a commitment, but before someone else does; this is being shown through this “hurry up” energy. The tarot cards that came up, I just feel like they’re confirming the oracle’s message.

I see that this person dreams of you and might be going through a lot of confusion in their life right now. Things aren’t going very well for them, because this is influencing them too much; I feel like they’re kind of holding themselves back or sabotaging themselves. And it’s as if they can’t seize the opportunities that come their way, because I sense they’re constantly thinking about what happened between you two. I see that they want to come back, with a serious commitment, but I see that they don’t know how—they don’t know how you’re going to react. I see that they plan to return, but this might be taking longer than expected.

what is channeling? channeling is a divination method that can be used for communicating with the energy of your desired person (or their higher self), using divination tools and intuitive energy as a bridge between "realities". much like any other form of divination, channeling is an energy exchange that should not be taken lightly.

divination tools tarot, music (spotify, apple music, etc.), oracle cards, pinterest, dice, bibliomancy, osteomancy, using a pendulum, pretty much every tool you use for divination can be used for channeling someone from your desired reality. 

my personal beliefs based on my experience with channeling, I believe that much like how we evoke our spirit guides ― we are capable of evoking the energy from our desired realities, in similar fashion to communicating with our guides. one thing i resonated with most was something i've read from ﹫shaysplanet regarding how we all are connected through energy and since we exist in every reality, it's likely true that the same goes for people in our desired realities. from my experience, raising my vibrations in regards to my desired reality and self help me become more successful in channeling ― because of the fact im vibrationally aligned with myself there. the veil between “our” reality and “theirs” is VERY THIN, so much so — you’ve likely experienced a “crossover” in your day to day life. (which ill explain)

raising vibrations consuming the media of where you're shifting to, scrolling through your desired reality pinterest boards, listening to songs you associate with yourself, your partner, your life, or your family and friends, daydreaming of scenarios or writing about your experiences in your dr, or even doing things unrelated to your dr that make you happy.

NON-NEGOTIABLES protect yourself!!!!!! spiritual hygiene is the most important thing when it comes to divination, i will give you a few “basic” options of base protection. lighting a white candle, veiling, prayer, imagining a protection shield of white light around you, protections frequencies, bells, asking for protection from your spirt team or trusted deities, crystals or runes with the purpose of protecting. cleansing should be done before AND after a channeling session, cleansing methods also include cleansing frequencies, bells, incense, smoke from your candle, rosemary, palo santo (only of ethically sourced), a warm/hot shower where your envisioning any unwanted energy falling down the drain (focusing on cleaning the area around your head and neck) as well as the soles of your feet and your achilles heels. It is very important that you practice spiritual hygiene, it is important you understand WHAT you’re using, why you’re using it, and what it’s doing for you. so that you can properly use it to aid you. SELF CARE your personal health affects your spiritual health, you need to drink enough water and eat properly!!! channeling is draining, you’re using your intuitive abilities to essentially be a bridge of this reality and “theirs”, it is likely to affect your body in a negative way — but not in a way that’s unavoidable, you’re likely to experience dizziness, fatigue, exhaustion, hunger, headaches, etc. understand when you’re going too far, listen to your body, if it tells you that it can’t handle anymore IT CANT.

the “crossover” it sounds much more complicated than it actually is, but this is worded the best i could. you’ve likely experienced a moment like this, it comes in many forms. de javu of already experiencing something. “downloads” from your dr, which are also known as memories. they can come from the past, present, or future. often showing up when you’re writing scenarios that feel just a little too familiar for it to have been made up in your head. because of the fact shifting is just simply remembering, you’re likely to remember experiences or moments in your dr as if they were any other memory from your life here. they can be triggered by scenes in a show, songs, movies, and more. i refer to it as the crossover due to the fact you’re quite literally experiencing moments from your “alternate self”, i believe this happens when you stumble across “the channel” of your dr (similar to accidentally finding a channel on the radio that plays all your favorite songs!!) you’ve aligned vibrationally and essentially tapped into your alternate consciousness. another form of this is a sickly feeling of familiarity, for a life you know YOU haven’t consciously experienced or a life you don’t presently remember. you yearn for it, whether you notice it or not. much like saying how you wish you were home after spending too long away on vacation.

i would like to know direct the attention towards this post by shaysplanet, she has very good posts when it comes to channeling — and is one of the people who introduced me to the concept of channeling during early shifttok! she takes a more straightforward approach in her explanation, while being thorough and clear cut.

MY CHANNELING ROUTINE even when i do not intend to channel, I practice constant spiritual hygiene. before i decide to open up my space to other energy, i light the candles on my altar (for the deity i honor and worship) as well as a white candle that has a comforting scent. usually before this ive entered a meditative state while listening to music, but i don’t usually meditate in the “typical” way due to the fact i have a horrible time sitting still. stretching, yoga, scrolling through pinterest, writing, all count as states of meditation for me. because during these times my mind is silent, and my focus is on one thing. veiling is my second step, veiling protects my crown chakra from any energy that attempts to stick longer than its welcome. i cleanse my veil with smoke, then slip it onto my head. i put on my jewelry made my other devotees of the goddess i worship, as well as my crystal jewelry and protective pendants that are also “blessed” in a way by the deity for protection. i lay down the blanket i specifically use when doing tarot, and put my playlist on shuffle. my preferred methods are shufflemancies on spotify and pinterest, while using tarot to understand what might not be conveyed through images or song. after a few minutes (usually around 15-30 even if im not actively asking questions but rather interpreting what it means) I will speak out loud that i release all energy that doesn’t belong to me, allowing only what i came in with to stay in my space. specifying that any energy is returned back to the person I “borrowed” it from, before putting my deck away. afterwards i cleaned my hands, my jewelry, my veil, and wash my hands. after washing them, i’ll run my fingers through my hair (paying special attention to the roots and my scalp.) using the smoke from my palo santo to cleanse the back of my neck, and then slowly working my way over each chakra point thoroughly. focusing on my root, third eye, and throat. for extra measures i keep my white candle lit, as well as the candles on my altar until im ready to blow them out or lay down (since i mostly channel at night), as well as spending a few moments walking around my room with my bell and ensuring i get the four corners of my room (top to bottom) so nothing lingers there either. then i allow myself to enjoy a nice treat and extra water, relaxing for the rest of my time awake.

i truly hope this helps!! and i want to remind you that anything regarding divination can be different for everyone. if this does not align with you or your believes, you are not forced to accept it! this is simply for those who don’t understand what channeling is or what precautions to take. if you have any questions my asks and dms are open, but i implore you to do your own research as i’ve done mine and unfortunately cannot share everything i’ve learned over the past few years. by sharing the basics i hope that those who are curious will feel motivated to learn more about the topic before attempting!! this isn’t meant to be taken as if it were the bible to channeling, but rather my experience and what i’ve learned through my journey of divination and shifting.

What is it used for:

The shower method can be used for many things as long as they can be confirmed through a test (or a call). This can go from someone reaching out to you, to getting money on your bank account, to getting an email to confirm something you have been waiting for. In my own personal experience is the shower method a very good and easy method, and has worked every single time I have tried so far.

Instructions:

1. Think of your goal

Think of what it is you want to achieve with this manifestation method, what it is you want and in what way you will receive the confirmation.

2. Look at your phone

Get ready for your shower, and before you actually step into the shower look at your phone and imagine getting that email, text, missed call etc. whatever it is you wish. Imagine receiving it, seeing it, and then close of your phone and get into the shower.

3. Take your shower

As you take your shower think about what you are going to do now that you’ve received your goal. Act as if you’ve already gotten it, and are just waiting a little before replying, if you want to reply in the first place. Think about what it is you want to reply, or how you feel now that you’ve gotten this information.

4. Get out and check your phone

Once you are done taking your shower take your time to get out of it, possibly put on some clothes and do whatever routine you usually do, and open up your phone once you’re done; your manifestation will be right there like you already believed it was.

🪐 Channeling guide ✨

In case anyone wanted to start channeling but just didn’t know how or where to start!

So basically channeling is communicating with people from your desired realities like your loved ones, your spirit guides or really anyone else that you want.

Before channeling you should make sure to use some protections in order to prevent connecting and communicating with negative beings. Don’t worry it’s not complicated. You could try:

Using protective affirmations like “I am safe“, “I am protected“ & “I am only channeling {insert desired person}“

Closing your eyes and imagining yourself being wrapped around by bright light filled with positive energy and protection that wards of any negativity

Calling out to your spirit team like your guides, the universe, god or anything that you believe in and ask them to protect you

Playing protective sounds/subliminals

Using crystals with protective energies

Protective spells if you are witchy (personally I sadly don’t have any knowledge on this)

I am sure there are many more methods out there that are reliable and you could use tho so take this as some general inspo (and no you do not need every single one of these).

Now to some methods:

Dowsing Letter Chart Method

This method is older and I don’t use it anymore. Nevertheless it was the method with which I personally started. For this you download/print an image of a dowsing letter chart of Google (chose a half circular one to get clearer answers). And then use any necklace/pendulum that you own and place it in the empty space in the middle. Now start asking your questions and you‘ll see the necklace move from letter to letter until you get a word or multiple. If it wasn’t clear you can ask them to repeat themselves or ask whether you understood it right.

Pinterest Method

You could try to ask your desired person for a sign or any communication through your Pinterest feed and now anything that seems like they send it actually is by them. You can go as far as asking them things and getting somewhat specific answers depending on ur feed. If you want yes/no answers you can choose objects that normally don’t appear on your feed and designate them to either yes or no and see which one you get.

Writing Letters

You can write letters to your desired people and receive messages back by for example asking for a very specific thing like a dragonfruit dragon (lmao idk what this example is) but really anything that you normally don’t see. Now you could get this sign through any media (tiktok, tumblr, Pinterest) And you could even get an answer back on for example Pinterest as there you can get images with quotes or other written text.

Automatic Writing

For this you will give your desired person the permission to use your hands as if they were their own and write full coherent sentences. Normally I use the notes app to do this but I heard of people who used pen and paper which is the same thing and will work as well. With this method you can have long and natural conversations as you immediately get back an answer.

Channeling in your head

This one is the one i personally use with my s/o the whole time and it‘s kind of evolved out of my automatic writing with him as I began hearing what he was typing quicker than he would finish writing the sentence. So to make the whole channeling even quicker you only communicate by hearing your person answer in your head. At first it might be confusing whether it’s actually them or your own thoughts but after a while you’ll get the hang of it (maybe starting with automatic writing and in the process letting them talk instead of typing might help)

These are all the methods that I know and have practiced but the possibilities are probably endless! And don’t worry if you don’t immediately get perfect results as it may take a few tries before you master channeling. Tho I can assure you it’s doable and anyone can achieve this ability as it’s quite simple.

channeling is a divination technique where we communicate with the energies of someone. they can be your spirit guides, your higher self, somebody who has passed away, entities, angels, as well as people from your desired realities. when you channel them, you are telepathically and intuitively connecting to their essence, therefore receiving their messages. you can channel people from your desired reality if you wish to connect more, or are looking for motivation! note that these are the methods i have discovered in my years of being in the shifting community, so the list is not exhaustive. there are many other methods out there which i may not have listed, so if you know any, feel free to comment them down and i'll add them here! 

before i begin, i want to emphasize the importance of protecting yourself before you take part in any divination practice. it is likely to encounter unwanted energies or trickster entities, which i have experienced, so make it a rule to always take a few steps to protect your vessel and your space before you channel. this is not a negotiable step. ways to protect yourself before channeling: - listen to protection subliminals or frequencies - pray to any god, deity, angel, or your spirit guides to protect you - keep protective crystals like black tourmaline, obsidian, amethyst or labradorite to shield yourself from unwanted encounters. - set a firm, mental boundary for who you wish to channel - meditate for a few minutes. envision and feel a bright, white protective, bubble-like shield around you that shields you from any harm.

1. the book method take any book of your liking, it could even be a newspaper or an article you wrote for your school's newsletter in the 7th grade. the first step is to ask your question to whoever it is you wish to channel. once that's done, start to intuitively flip through the pages and keep doing so until it feels right to stop. you'll feel an energy or a voice in your head telling you to stop. next, close your eyes and take your index finger. start dragging your finger across every line in the page, and stop when your intuitive urge tells you to. the word, sentence, or phrase that your finger lands on will be the response from whoever you intended to channel. this is an easy technique if you feel underconfident to channel telepathically or if you don't want to use too much of your spiritual energy. 2. the random word generator method once you've decided who you want to channel, ask them a question and go to this website. click on the generate button, and you will receive their answer. you can also keep clicking until it feels right to stop, in order to get their response. the answers might be bewildering, so feel free to try this technique until you get answers that you can make sense of. 3. the telepathy method this technique helps you get more detailed and authentic responses. you can have a channeling subliminal playing in the background, if you prefer. you could also play music which reminds you of the person or being you wish to channel, which makes it easier to connect to their energy. begin by meditating for a few minutes on the energy of whoever you want to channel. focus on feeling their presence and their energy. then, keep a clear and strong intention in your mind to contact them. if you wish, you can repeat "i am channeling person's name" in your head a few times. once you feel more confident, you can approach them with a simple "hi" or a "hello", or anything else you want to say to greet them and begin the session. once it feels right, you can ask them a question or say whatever you want to say to them. you'll then notice an answer popping up in your mind. you'll know it's them talking as the energy and nature of their response will feel very distinct and different from your own thoughts and energy - you will intuitively know that it is them. if you are clairsentient you might sense their presence more strongly. keep talking to them and ask them all the questions you wish to ask. i'd recommend keeping a notebook and pen, or your notes app handy to note down their responses. make sure to be mindful and respect their boundaries. once you are done talking, thank them for their time and cooperation.

4. the letter method this can be useful if you are not confident in telepathic channeling. write a letter to the person you wish to channel, it can be on paper or digital, it doesn't really matter. be authentic and genuine and write down whatever you wish to tell them, you can also ask questions. an optional step: once you're done, ask them, in the letter to send you a sign if they have received your message. this could be anything like a rose, or a black cat, whatever you prefer. keep an eye open and be receptive to everything around you since they will be sending you the sign to confirm they received your message.

5. the media method this method is really simple and effective, especially for people who are underconfident or still developing their psychic abilities. the media i am referring to here is music, images, tv shows, videos, or anything else. ask your question to the person you wish to channel, and then ask them to send you a sign as their answer. you can use pinterest, youtube, your spotify playlist, or anything else that feels right. you will receive their sign, it will be something that really feels as if its from them, or something that really stands out to you. alternatively, you could ask them something and ask for a specific sign to confirm it. for example "show me a blue butterfly if you had a good day". 6. the shufflemancy method another fun and effective method which involves the use of music. prepare a method of songs you like. if possible, make sure that there's a variety and that each song conveys a different energy, theme/message, and emotion. once you've asked your question or said your message to the person you want to channel, begin pressing the shuffle button of your playlist until it feels intuitively right to stop. you'll receive the song that they chose for their answer. try again if it didn't resonate! 7. the pendulum method if you're more experienced with divination and own a pendulum, then consider trying this method! begin by clearing your mind, take a couple of deep breaths, meditate for a few moments. once you feel more like focused, set your intention to channel whoever it is that you want to channel. once that's done, ask them a question. set a rule - for example, clockwise rotations are a yes, and anti-clockwise rotations are a no. you can change it to your liking or based on what message you want to receive. after asking your question, you'll find your pendulum spinning accordingly. 8. the tarot/oracle method i've noticed a lot of shifters own tarot decks, so you can give this method a try as well! use whichever deck you feel most intuitively drawn to - it can be tarot or oracle. you can even use playing cards or an uno deck. it doesn't matter which you use since there's no rules :) once again, focus on the energy of who you wish to channel. hold the deck and meditate while focusing on their energy, keeping an intention to communicate with them. once you feel ready, ask them your question then begin shuffling your cards until it feels right to stop. pull as many cards as you like, your intuition will know. then interpret the messages conveyed by the cards. 9. the dream method this is ideal for the whimsical shifters who like dreamwork. when you start feeling drowsy right as you're about to go to sleep, feel the energy of who you want to channel. simply thinking about them is enough. then you can ask them a question or ask them to send you any message. fall asleep with the intention to channel them and receive their messages, and you should get their responses in your dream! make sure to jot all of it down once you wake up so you don't forget anything.
