REDEMPTION.

silver was actually afraid of ground pokemon for awhile ( mostly in his childhood ) but is now neutral about them.

full name is silver ‘ middle name in the future here ’ sakaki. 

had a totodile plush named “toty” as a kid and is the main reason why he stole picked totodile as his starter.

when his father was still a gym leader he loved to watch him battle, even refereeing some of his gym matches as practice before he became an official trainer.

he’s very possessive of his trainer card and doesn’t like showing it unless necessary. 

totodile wasn’t his first pokemon. it was sneasel ( now weavile ) which was a christmas / birthday gift from his father, who came home from a business trip, from none other than mt. silver :’)

aside from being johtonese and kantonense even though? nationalities / ethnicity’s differ in the pkmn universe i personally headcanon him as italian / japanese. 

he’s estranged / distant from his father and doesn’t keep in contact with him ( verse dependent )

has visited a good amount of regions ( some being kanto, johto, hoenn, sinnoh, etc. )

while he does know how to ride a bike, he prefers to walk and camp as he travels.

There is no force in the world that is as inconstant and variable as a child and Silver is as fickle as they come. But if all it takes to make his son happy is to be near his father then Giovanni is more than happy to oblige. “Ah, yes. Toty, how could I forget?” 

It’s no coincidence that Silver’s room is only down the hall, but he imagines that to a child wandering through that dark stretch of hallway must have seemed an impossible journey. One that takes him only a few heartbeats to make and then he’s lowering the boy into bed, tucking him under the sheets. “Here he is.” He finds the missing stuffed animal underneath the bed and holds it up for the boy to see. “I think he must have felt lonely while you were gone.”

           tucked under the safety of the covers his nerves calm almost instantly, then silver reaches outward to grab onto his treasured plush, looking up to face his father’s warm gaze and from that alone the boy knows, he’s safe.
