this is so funny because shark attacks are something we’re very much aware of in North Carolina and there are usually 2-3 bites a summer and a couple fatalities every decade but nobody in the state gives a fuck. I was in the Outer Banks when a kid got bitten by a great white (survived) and everyone was more annoyed by the media frenzy and ramped up beach patrols than afraid or concerned.
