Cover chicken breasts in marinara sauce and put them on top of the sauce in a slow cooker. Until the chicken is fully cooked, cook on low for 4 to 6 hours or high for 2 to 3 hours. In the last 30 minutes of cooking, sprinkle mozzarella cheese on top of the chicken. Add fresh basil leaves on top before serving, after the chicken is cooked and the cheese has melted.
