I, in writing the latest chapter of my fic, for some godawful reason, chose to use way too many commas, so let this be a lesson, that other punctuation marks, they can be good, too.

I for one believe commas and other separators are a waste of space when trying to convey an inner monologue or suchlike situations where talking rapidly and or or breathlessly makes more sense

I believe the in the value of semicolons to spin the reader along a dizzying path; you have a break in speech and an intrinsic expansion on your previous words that might not mean anything; it never has to end; you are left drifting from idea to idea with a frantic spiral of varied structure; besides the fact it makes you feel really goddamn pretentious.
