I have to turn the radio down to see better when I drive. there are 17 genes dictating what my hair texture is, but it completely changes when the air is too humid. yawning is contagious. there are more species of bacteria living in my body than there are species of birds in the entire world. every few months I grievously injure my neck by "sleeping on it weird." it took seven million years of human evolution to form me, and now I'm afraid of phone calls.

yknow its interesting how something can impact one demographic in a completely different way than everyone else. in the exorcist when the demon starts speaking in greek, to most people its creepy. but if youre greek and you suddenly start hearing the demon speak perfect fucking greek its genuinely the biggest scare of the movie. you just do not expect to ever hear your language in american movies so it catches you so badly off guard, it feels like the movie is talking directly to you

Julian/Ezri is just baffling in general because it is so rich in concept! There’s the fact that they both have medical trauma, but from procedures they either consented to or have reason to feel as if they “should” be grateful for; there’s the fact that Julian was the one who made the call to separate Jadzia from the symbiont and thus has reason to feel indirectly responsible for Ezri being joined, and Ezri in turn has an association between Julian and her memories of Jadzia’s traumatic death; the potential for them both to be driven to know Jadzia better through each other, while never being able to fully grasp who she was and how others perceived her; etc. And yet next to none of this actually comes up in the writing of their relationship. Strong evidence that nobody in the DS9 writers room had the soul of a pervert.

i’m not even that much of a pervert i can just find the eroticism in anything. doesn’t get me bricked up necessarily i just like to appreciate it.
