hello there!

Hello there! I'm Phthalo-Blue (Cerulean/Cerulean Blue Moon around the internet).

I'm steeped in fantasy (AtLA, Tamora Pierce, Le Guin, Maas, Jemisin, Tolkein, Zelda) and lately MDZS fic writing has completely consumed me. Cultivation wizards with swords and flowing hair are my thing. I also enjoy a good sci fi story (Grand Admiral Thrawn has influenced my villains far more than I should like to admit). This makes me feel like such a boomer, but I hate it how all media has been TikTok-ified and algorithm primed. Songs are shorter, designed for short viral clips rather than a full listening experience. TV shows and movies are sloppier, dragging on and on, assuming you’ll be on your phone and have it only in the background. Even books have been chewed up and spat back out as easily consumable tropes, with bite-sized chapters and mannequins for characters. This late stage capitalism hellscape we’re in has made art into something you snack on rather than savor.

imagine your ex who you haven't seen in a decade (since he stole your car) shows up at your house. in the car. the one he stole from you. it looks like shit. your ex asks you to fix the broken car. then he tells you that the hot girl with him and his buddy (the one that helped him steal the car) is his new girlfriend. she is a member of the royal family and she looks capable of murdering you AND your ex with rage alone. you try to say hi. she does not say hi. no one admits it out loud, but you get the feeling that they're all running from the cops and they all want to hide out in YOUR house.
