They’ve settled down a bit, the alcohol soaking into their brains. Regulus decides with his mind no longer screaming that it is once again time to scan the crowd. This time not lingering at all on his brother and his entourage laughing together on the other side of the room.

His eyes land on Barty almost immediately. Just as mesmerizing as before, but his soft eyes seem to contain a bit more fire than before as he dances closely with a girl Regulus doesn’t recognize. He watches the way Barty moves with her to a cool, slow guitar melody that is definitely more his style. Barty looks like this song was written just for him to dance to at this moment. He’s looking at the girl with an intensity different from his normal glare, and then his lips crash into hers.
