“It’s not like it’s all the time,” Alex says, to avoid admitting that he had pretty much meant no sleep. “It’s just been like, recently-ish. I’ll get over it eventually.” He tries not to squirm under the intensity of George’s gaze, but he feels his hand twitch against his thigh traitorously. He can’t help it — he can still feel the heavy weight of the ring box sitting in his pocket, even though he had returned it to the jeweller months ago.

he is shirtless (as per usual) because i'm pretty sure he shrugged off the top half of his race suit and it's hanging down. he's running and a guy from the merc crew is chasing after him (both are seen on the picture). pretty sure it's from early 2025 but it might be from 2024 (there's a small chance and it's even older but that's definitely around the time I saw it). back then I was new-ish to the merc crew so I didn't recognize who was chasing after him but I've been wondering if I would recognize whoever was chasing george now. but I can't find the picture again. if you do find it, feel free to also tell me who the guy is if you know

i knew this was going to be good before i even started watching it and i was right (youtube link)
starting with alex opening the episode speaking mediocre Spanish for no discernible reason (unless the reason is to rub it in george’s face that alex can speak spanish and george still can’t)
“you know what they say, the bigger the boat the bigger the — carlos you finish it off” so basically we’re literally a minute and a half in and they’re already making dick jokes
one of the top comments on the youtube video is “I love how Albon can’t find a proper position to sit” and three minutes in he’s already found a new sitting position (total count for the video so far: 2)
sidenote - but i love how on the fancy boats and planes they always have to take off their shoes and walk around in socks
okay but back to the questions. the topic is does carlos like boats? but alex brings up watersports immediately (likely thing for him to do) and thank god he did because carlos clarifies that he loves watersports

carlos is taking this question about going back v going forward in time at an extremely meta level and alex is focused on if it’s cooler to see dinosaurs or flying cars, and anyway the consensus is that carlos would go back to see the dinosaurs and he thinks he would do well surviving because he’s outdoorsy and alex would go to the future because he wants to see dune 3.
and not to read into this too much, but something about alex limiting his desire to wanting to see a film that’s coming out in six months anyway whereas carlos is proclaiming with his full chest that he would have no problem fighting a dinosaur is fascinating to me
