(incomplete) gewis fic rec list
a lovely person asked about gewis fic recs and as I once upon a time made a name in another fandom by just making fic rec lists, so it felt like a sign for me to do this - it's not a massive ship so many authors are responsible for several bangers so I tried to keep it to one per author (and strongly recommend checking out the author pages)
this might just be a part 1 of many ngl. (I feel like I forgot so many good fics)

everybody talks too much by gho (idk if they're on Tumblr?) - teen and up, Lewis and his crush vs the paddock rumour mill - I adore this so much, it's so fun, there are fics where I tried to recreated this vibe and utterly failed
Dialled in by @ininininininstayoutstayout - gen, what if they can hear each others thoughts, what then?, 4.5k words - I adore, I love, I admire all of Rosie's fics but also if this wasn't about gewis I would be reccing One thousand laps of Jeddah
seal your fate by @britrrari - explicit, soulmate AU with a twist, 8.5k words - this is soooo it fits the characters perfectly, it's such a good take on soulmates, Cherie has this talent at taking tropes and just giving them a unique spin and I am here for it always
one single thread of gold (cuttin' me open, then healin' me fine) - gen, soulmate AU, 1k words- talking about unique takes on soulmate AUs, Lesi's take still HAUNTS me
can't come clean by @faently - mature, fake dating, 14.7k words, so far! - they are so sweet and so dumb and so oblivious
'Cause it seems to me, this thing is breaking down by @autumn816 - not rated, outsider pov from George's partner on him an Lewis - controversial one because I know San doesn't agree with me about this fic but it was fundamental for my perception of gewis
what's in a name by @wormeo-and-juliette - not rated, the most girl george or ever girl george, 20k words - girl George broke my heart and made me want to be her friends and I adored the way she pursued Lewis
Heat of the Race by @disneykidfics - explicit, omegaverse, George presents during a race, 13.9k words - one such a fun take on omegaverse and hot and sweet and they are so tender and soft for each other
Evermore verse by cowboychai (idk if they are on tumblr) - explicit, down bad smut, 23.3k words so far- it's just so hot, all of them, loving and fun and hot
to build a home - by yours truly - explicit, omegaverse, set in 2022, 14.6k - I am pretty proud of this

The Wedding Whisperer by @midway-ans - explicit, wedding planer George vs Lawyer Lewis, 95.5k words - a delight, so much fun, one of my favourite AUs
10-Karat White Gold, Baguette Diamond by @birb-shaped-cloud - teen and up, designer Lewis, lawyer George and the question of marriage, 10.5k words - well Crow is amazing, all of Crow's fics are amazing but I have already reread this a shameful amount of times so well
inked on your heart by @pinonpole / @brainfog-and-books - teen and up, office worker George goes through a break-up and decides to get a tattoo, enter tattoo artist Lewis - this is soooooo I wanted to wrap up George so much and I adored the 2019 rookies in this and the gewis is so sweet
Royalty AU by @nearmike - explicit and lower, omegaverse series with king Lewis and royal consort George, 32k words so far! - Ros is such a brilliant gewis writer and I especially adore the royalty AU, it's a sweet, warm cup of tea
the mission by @formulaborb - explicit, secret agent AU, 23k words so far! - look this is brilliant, naive but competent George is such a thrilling thing, still this is heavy and graphic at times but sooo good
Devil In The Details by @go-go-gecko - teen and up, devil wears prada AU, 5.7k words - that is suuuuuch a perfect take on a devile wears prada AU, loooooved it and it also just hits at my complicated feelings at Mercedes and the role it plays in my favs lifes
You are my heartbeat, beating loud by @ohblimeygeorge - not rated, parent gewis series, 5.2k words so far - oh parents gewis my most beloved, the soft sweet affection in this is so lovely
Unholy verse by @russelliv - explicit, photographer Lewis takes pictures of George, 4.1k words so far - this is so interesting and fun and hot and it sticks in the mind
Guns for Hire by @redvh205 - explicit, mafia AU, omegaverse, 106.5k - pictures this, I am travelling post PhD and sitting in a cafe for breakfast as I get an update email and I just had to pro-long breakfast to keep reading because I was glued to this
