But I give you Verity doodle with notes of Lovebug Verity AU I came up with inspired by the ILOVEYOU virus, thought about this a few nights ago, it kind of is irrelevant now Verity is already a canon yandere.
The idea for this was something something, Verity variant whos job is to spread 'love' by taking over your world then your pc then shares himself to other pcs via social media. Which is literally just og Verity. But I added a thing where the other Lovebugs become obsessed with the users of that pc, YOUR Verity is the original, he can control the other Lovebugs too. He can remove those Lovebugs from other worlds if he wants to. In their original code you are the main priority.
The only difference really is that he doesn't to that 3 days thing since his job is to keep you happy so big monster is a no no. Or at least to you specifically, anything/one else is fair game. His main goal is to share his 'love', to have you feel his way of 'love' which is really just obsession.
Will I do that? Not really. I don't do Yan x Yan unfortunately.
This idea works if it's not IRL Reader, but IRL Minecraft Reader(Where Minecraft is real life). So players can be 'corrupted' if he manages to spread to other worlds and even servers.
The corruption starts by code erasure and rewrite. The rewrite is slow, but dangerous. It starts with the player having the need to spend time with their Lovebug, then that time grows longer and longer. They stop doing stuff that disrupts their time with the Lovebug. They spend less time taking care of themselves, including sustenance and personal hygiene. And before they can really notice, they're already in the Lovebug's arms, catatonic and barely lucid. All they can do is accept the Lovebug's affection.
That player and world becomes unreachable until their inevitable death.
The way to avoid or remove the Lovebugs is through 1. Isolation, where players keep to themselves in a singleplayer world and not open the world to anything including messages across servers. 2. Delete the code before it fully corrupts you, though it's hard when your own code is fighting you. Or 3. Death.
But the only way to really remove the Lovebugs is having the original LoveBug Verity — yours — remove the other instances. Though you'd have to sacrifice yourself and your sanity for that. You'll become isolated, forcing LoveBug to stay in your world, stopping him from spreading once more.
You are immune to the virus, but it's only time before you lose your mind too.
Oh yeah if you add companion/horror/monster mods Verity can corrupt them, but they become another Lovebug instance where Verity can control them if he wants to. Though it's a 50/50 since he could just kill the mod if he doesn't vibe with it.
Ehhh idk seems kinda meh for me. Maybe if I come up with something to add to it.
