As she continued her glanced down at his attire, smiling in response to her compliment. βThank you, Hera. I do like to keep myself looking fabulous. I wouldnβt go out unless I knew that my appearance was jaw dropping.β He rambled on a bit, though stopping after a bit to let her finish.
βIβve been doing pretty good, actually. Though I never expected to be graced with the appearance of the queen of gods herself. Nonetheless Iβm glad to see you. How have you been, Lady Hera?β
Her head tilted back in a quick motion, almost similar to a confused peacock, as she realised the bow.
"More respectful than him too, I see", the goddess replied, used to more reckless behavior (from others). She was indeed fond of a positive change like this.
Apollo's comments of his own attire made her even laugh quietly. From what she had thought, typical of the sun god. "You seem rather put-together, which I like", explained the queen. Neat appearances and proper manners were two important things to her. Something she did not always notice in certain members of her direct family; and didn't expect from one of her dear husband's affair children, as she called them.
"I'm glad to hear. And you are a master of flattery", she paused, choosing her next words carefully, "I've been well. There's not been much going on in my life recently, for a surprising change."
βI do try my best.β He chuckled, crossing his arms now. βMy first ever meeting with him was after he stole my cows. It was shocking to say the leastβ¦β
With a brief sigh he looked back up at Hera, smiling with pride as he was told he seemed put together.
βI figured I must be, though Iβm glad that my effort seems to be paying off.β He replied, continuing after. βI couldnβt do half the things I do if I werenβt put together.β
βThank you, Lady Hera. Once again I do try my best.β He then breathed out a quiet sigh of relief. βWell Iβd hope thatβs a good thing. Whenever something does happen drama soon follows. Hermes doesnβt seem thrilled about it though, heβs been increasingly nosy as of late. He probably wants the drama.β
"I can imagine how that wouldn't be the best first impression Hermes could've had", the queen replied bluntly.
Though as she noticed his smile, she began to even laugh a bit.
"So I presume the rumors I've heard about you being a diva, as some say, must be true then?" The goddess joked. Hera was able to joke? Damn.
"Well, when is he or any other god not nosy? It is like his default reaction now. I assume he only enjoys his job for the gossip he gets to hear."
