Ahoy, Terror fans! Have you been having fun trapping lieutenants in ice cubes? Do you long to do even more fun things to them? Then you might enjoy Lieutenantfest! A 7-day celebration of the 7 lieutenants from The Terror (2018), running from July 6th to July 12th.

Lieutenantfest is a fanwork event dedicated to Lts. Gore, Le Vesconte, Fairholme, Little, Hodgson, Irving, and Jopson from AMC's The Terror! This is a fun and casual celebration hosted on this blog and its accompanying AO3 collection. Stay tuned for a detailed schedule for the week, along with some optional prompts for each day!

With the above caveat, any fanwork medium is welcome! Fanart, fanfiction, fanvids, playlists, edits, GIFsets, moodboards, meta, memes, photosets, fiber arts, fansongs, a cake with Fairholme's face on it, anything. Especially the Fairholme cake.
No adult content restrictions! As long as everything is properly tagged, works of all ratings and topics are allowed.
Due to the rule above, all participants must be 18+. If you create or consume any fanworks for this event, you will be assumed to be following this rule.
Feel free to combine this event with any other concurrent fandom events, such as The Terror Whumpathon!
While this event is primarily geared towards the characters from The Terror (2018), fanworks for historical RPF or other fictional depictions of the Franklin Expedition lieutenants are also welcome! This event warmly accepts fans of William Malcolm, The Ministry of Time, and everything in between.
All event prompts are 100% optional. They're meant to be inspirations, not restrictions!
All fanworks must prominently feature at least one (1) of the lieuts, but to be clear, there is no requirement to feature their actual rank! Canon divergence, AUs, crossovers, etc. are all welcome. Draw Dundy as a midshipman a few years before canon, cosplay as Werewolf!Nedward, or write about Hodge captaining a trivia team in the 21st century. :3 Get creative!
No sign up required! All you need in order to participate is a Tumblr and/or AO3 account.
In order for your fanworks to be reblogged here and included in our masterlist of works at the end of the event, make sure to use the tag #lieutenantfest and/or @ this blog in your post! (And if you believe your post was missed, shoot the blog an ask or message and that'll be rectified posthaste!) Posting dates for the event are July 6th through July 12th, but feel free to use the #lieutenantfest tag and/or @ the blog with your lieut-themed WIPs any time before that so we can all get super excited and build anticipation!
For fanworks posted to AO3, please add them to our AO3 collection!
If you don't finish your creation in time to post it during the event proper, no worries! Both the AO3 collection and this blog will remain active after the "official" event dates. Never too late to post more lieuts!
Most importantly of all, have fun!!! Don't let the epaulettes fool you; nobody is standing on ceremony here. This is a lighthearted celebration intended to inspire fan creations of all kinds!
