On the right side of a career-ending fall, it’s Wimbledon and Henry is just barely eighteen. He considers himself a practical man, but in some sentimental, embarrassed part of his heart he is always eighteen and it is always Wimbledon. The sun in necessarily nostalgic for any teenage summer, but there truly is something of a moment about this moment, the green courts and white kits and all that history up for grabs. Loath as he is to live up to cliché, Henry does love grass, loves the way it plays, fast and unforgiving like a career-ending fall.
Or: in 2007, upcoming tennis sensation Henry Le Vesconte jumps for an overhead. He never quite manages to land.
