I remember getting fitted for a sari blouse at 11 and the male workers joking about my bust measurements and laughing about it to my face. I can’t even count the number of times sari salesmen have harassed me or said something misogynistic or creepy.

When you compare the men and women, it becomes very clear how sexist the uniforms are.

And we are not allowed to have visible hair or underwear btw, or to replace our body if it gets inside our butt or labia. WE ARE NOT ALLOWED TO REPLACE IT IF IT SHOWS OUR GENITALS.

Allows them to see near naked bodies of the most athletic women in the world (and worse: little girls doing sports)

Puts women and girls off doing sports, or causes them to quit before going pro. Not facing rampant sexualisation and constantly having to keep a mental check on whether their uniform is riding up their butt (or worse!) while doing a mentally taxing and potentially dangerous sport seems like the better choice for a lot of women and girls.

my brain cannot filter sensory input. you have no idea how much noise your typically functioning brain is able to tune out for the sake of your sanity. i can see my own eyelashes. i can feel where my breasts touch the skin of my chest. i can at times feel and hear my own breathing and heartbeat. i am constantly aware of my hair touching my neck. and that's just my body! every fiber of my clothing, the hum of appliances, lights, sounds, smells. it is a constant assault, and when it gets bad it gets bad.

"sensory overload" isnt a cutesy little thing where youre just a little tired. it hurts. normal volume sounds feel like someone is driving an icepick through my eardrums over and over again. lights and movement feel like someone is sandpapering my eyes and brain. my skin feels itchy and on fire and slimy all at once. it is physically painful. when i see non verbal autistics slamming their own head against walls and tables i know exactly how that feels, and i've headbanged myself when i'm alone and know i won't have to deal with the reactions of "spaz" and "freak". your brain is so stressed by the unfiltered raw input that bashing your skull against something feels like the only thing you can do about it.

A wonderful example of the tu quoque fallacy; instead of having to defend HRT and cosmetic surgeries for children you point to other examples of children having their bodily autonomy violated as a form of validation itself. The conclusion you should be coming to from this is that children and the adults who take care of them should not be allowed to make decisions that drastically alter their body until they become adults and can properly decide for themselves.

This fallacy doesn't work on radfems, however, since we talk against children getting body piercings, shaving, laser hair removal, etc... and we are not anti-vax. (Also I want to assume you mean ballet or maybe football when talking about sports that can injure you for life. Radfems talk against ballet also. ) Maybe you would see that radfems actually do give a fuck if you ... didn't already have me blocked lol.

Arbitrarily redefining categories to mean whatever you want them to mean is somewhat against the spirit of collective communication as an enterprise. Because if anyone can just invent new meanings for words just because they feel like it, then words no longer mean anything in particular and as such they cease to be useful as tools of communication.

My friends parents all did care though. When they'd come over, my ma would dig up extra clothes for them to change into so they could play in the mud too and made sure they'd wash up and go home just as clean as they came. Their parents still didn't like that they played in mud despite the fact ma found a work around for the stated "keep their clothes clean" reasoning. It was a lot of "I still don't like her playing in the dirt" and "that's too rowdy for little girls."
