i actually think it's scary that we seem to be forgetting what regular human beings look like and that in some cases it's being deliberately accelerated by incels and their esoteric mythology of appearance now that they have the cultural microphone. it's scary that i can watch a movie from like 1991 and be like "oh if this woman was cast as a leading lady today it'd be a culture war outrage session about ugly women being shoved in our faces"

also it's strange to me to see twitter users blame "tumblr" for people thinking that knowing a character's bloodtype or birthday is a requirement for writing a good story, when like that's entirely a video game/anime thing if we're actually being honest.

like yeah i have encountered people online who think their ocs who exist in a contextless bubble deserve the same reverence as fully realized characters, and that mentality is annoying, but i don't actually think the end goal of all art is to became a webcomic, i think it's a perfectly fine if people want to flex their creative muscle by creating funky character designs with wacky backstories just for the joy of creation itself, like you don't have to be personally invested in it, but it's a bizarre way to moralize art especially coming from a group of people who otherwise seem to be against that?

love island should introduce a "scheming eunuch" islander who is like a smart and completely asexual islander exempt from being kicked off or being made to participate in any challenges and they're just there to provide advice and be a sort of sounding board for the other islanders when they need a disinterested party to talk things through with. but the scheming eunuch has secret goals unbeknownst to anyone e.g. a cash prize for talking a certain couple into breaking up etc.

"persona isn't a game for adults because the characters are teenagers" implies that the Super Mario Bros. series is for adults because the main character is a grown adult plumber with cock and balls.

i think "Persona is mostly about highschoolers because the series focuses on a contemporary modern setting/ social elements, and high school is a more universally relatable experience for most players, than an office building or college" is a better argument than "because Persona is exclusively for 12-17 year olds and me the only adult with childlike whimsy"
