i want to come back to this to complain about the sister imperator comics. i wanted to like them so bad but it has so many issues that i cant!
establishment of sister imperators life beforehand. we learned she witnessed her father being murdered by the reverend and no one believed her. the reverend becomes her stepfather and eventually murders her twin sisters while blaming sister for it. sister is forced to run away from home. it establishes why sister has such a disdain for christianity and who the twins in the chapters actually are.
sister imperators first kill. she murdered a man who was working for her step father because he tried to rape a teenage girl. it was very satisfying.
little child copia is very cute despite major inaccuracies in his appearance (his hair is not black and his eyes are not blue!)
the ending. im curious what other garbage tobias might throw our way if he ever elaborates on anything.
nihil is no longer the father of the first three papas but rather they are all brothers. they now have a sister named marika which is fine but considering that sister and nihil had them executed and put on display in the vip areas of their shows... why is current day marika so okay with everything? does she even know?
mr psaltarian, despite being an established character, does not appear in the comics. we could not have the only black person in lore show up even though it is established in a music video that he would have been around during that time?
abandonment of the satanic elements of the band. the early lore and chapters established that the church is millenias old. i fully expected the circus that marikas family ran would be a cover for the satanic church instead its just a normal circus. it turns out that the band is only theatrical satanism in lore created by sister to be some counter culture thing to christianity. boring!
almost everyone has blue eyes even when they canonically do not?
every other kill sister made. she was out killing lots and lots of bad men, even while pregnant with twins, because her dead sisters wanted her to. in her imperator role she does not need to do her own dirty work, she had people murder the papas for her. demands she made were always answered. her man killer quest is so out of place to me.
sister imperator was super okay with nihil cheating on her because it distracted him from the fact she was going out and killing bad men what? she tried to run him over with her car over him kissing a girl at a show during a music video but suddenly she was totally fine with him getting with other women in the comic.
prioritizing making about 90% of the dance macabre music video canon. why? sister set up nihil to follow a random guy to a party she was at so they could murder the guy and sister could reunite with her boyfriend? they ignored the part about the white eye, of course. terrible use of the limited pages this comic has. i always imagined the music video was a fictional retelling of how sister and nihil met.
is the white eye a contact lens? nihil only gains it when he first dresses as papa its gone the moment his costume is off. the little copia and perpetua dont have the white eye either. why did the emeritus fanily collectively decide to wear one white contact lens then? i liked to believe it was a genetic trait, especially since you never saw any emeritus character without it. even before he knew who his father was copia had it.
baby copia and baby perpetuas gums are colored white instead of pink. the fucking babies have TEETH.
marika takes in sisters twins so sister can... keep on killing lots and lots of bad men... perpetua is gone after the time skip (because its been established that copia and perpetua were not raised together) and we are given no reason for his disappearance.
