nay but crocodile (a loner who doesn't see anyone as an equal) invites mihawk (a loner who doesn't trust anyone) as his PARTNER in a shared quest for utopia / to stand against the world govt. they tolerate and see the other as adequately competent. mihawk drinks his wine, crocodile smokes his cigars, they read the news paper and torture their pet clown together for date night. a lil murder to spice things up. they don't realize they're in a relationship for weeks despite croc's hand often ending up on mihawk's thigh
