I know we joke about Buggy getting ahead of himself and calling Alvida honey-bunny but I feel like you can see that Buggy has genuine admiration and affection in his eyes when looking at Alvida after he tells Bartolomeo he’s lucky have her.
I think he, very one-sidedly, genuinely likes her. Which makes her and the rest of his team not helping/betraying him in cross guild that much more tragic.
While she showed a bit more care then the rest of his crew (which could have known him as a teen btw) she said it was a cold world + had a concerned look on her face, which tells me she was a bit uncomfortable, she was still mostly unbothered while he was being tortured in the same room.
