Post 8x17 Goodbye Stranger, Cas moves a little too fast, raises his arm just a little too high around Dean and Dean flinches and they both stare at each other in the aftermath because how the fuck do you fix something like what they have between them? So Cas moves slower, raises his hand gently, cups Dean's face, cradles it, and there's so much grief in all the things unsaid but then Dean leans into it, closes his eyes, goes pliant and soft for Cas, and they'll trade a thousand more gentle touches to make up for all the ones that weren't, and one day Dean won't flinch, and one day Cas will put to word the things that choke him to silence

dean should run a local range radio station out of the bunker actually. it’s illegal and he only plays classic rock. no one can tell where it’s broadcasting from specifically due to handwavey bunker magic. possibly they have a tower of some sort even since there could very well be radio equipment in there. anyway obviously there is no schedule and it becomes kind of a Thing among locals like. did YOU catch the mysterious radio broadcast this afternoon because i did :))) no but i did catch the overnight host this weekend, yeah the one who sounds like he eats gravel recreationally. he played 4 hours of bird calls and rated them.

deans show is pretty normal fare i think it’s like “this is one of my favorites” song “did you know he wrote this song when he was hospitalized?” song song “speaking of burning rubber don’t forget to top off your cars oil. lot of ticking engines at the stoplights in smith center this week” song. he’s got a lot of trivia about rockers just waiting for an outlet and this is perfect. sometimes he plays songs nonstop with no commentary or anything. i think sam is disinterested in the radio schtick but jack has a good time with it. he has a list of songs he’s heard mentioned or referenced and he listens to them in the order of his list with no attention paid to genre or mood or cohesion and after each one he’s like “i think i liked that!” or “huh! i don’t know if i liked that…” cas sometimes entertains himself by broadcasting overnight but sometimes he plays music and sometimes he tells unfunny jokes and sometimes he describes extinct bugs for several hours.

I like to think Dean jumps at any oportunity to have Cas possess him. Dean is like "I'm literally the perfect meatsuit for an archangel and you're telling me you don't even wanna see if you fit??" meanwhile Cas sighs and shakes his head.
