isn't this where...

The weirdest thing I've had happen was someone grabbing my hair in a hostel kitchen except there wasn't anybody...

the thing is that there is not really much of a story to tell. its just boring enough that its almost nothing but just weird enough that I think about it every day.

my mom and I were parked at the end of a road near the edge of town. a row of street lamps started about half a block down from us. we were there to see if we could catch a glimpse of a meteor shower or if we needed to drive further out. while we were standing outside of the car, both of us saw the nearest street lamp to us grow progressively brighter and then suddenly disappear. a few seconds later, it reappeared on the opposite side of the street. it was NOT that one light flickered out and another came on. the pole and everything was just straight up gone (and then back. in the wrong place). the lamp-posts were spaced far enough apart from each other that it could not have been an optical illusion. however, neither me or my mom said anything because we both assumed it was more likely that we were hallucinating. finally though when we drove away I said "hey uh did you notice–" and my mom immediately finished the sentence with "THE LAMP POST??!" and we freaked out because both of us saw the same thing clear as day. we've driven past it many times since and its still where it re-appeared.
