Pregnancy is body horror
Yes, it absolutely is. If I would be raped and get pregnant I would kill myself (and the rapist if I can).
I will never understand how other women go through this out of their own free will and even more than once.
The thought that something can grow inside of me is horrible. How my body could be used against me... I like the alien movies and that's how I see pregnancy.
In Alien Prometheus there's a scene were a woman performs a surgery on herself to get rid of an alien lifeform growing inside of her. That scene is intense and shows how she panics and how scary it is to have something growing inside of you, except that I would also feel that way about a human baby.
The way all our problems could literally be solved if we just stopped birthing and nurturing males but women choose to just keep creating more and more of them aaghhhh it drives me insaneeeee
I can't stand breeders.
I recently saw someone say that "solidarity" between mothers and other women mainly consists of the mothers trying to coerce everyone else into taking care of their offspring. How true that is, as the first tweet shows us - and she's so bitter that women are out making money rather than taking care of HER kids! The entitlement of OSA women never fails to amaze me.
"Wahh, I can't find time for anything anymore!" Why can't you go to the gym, get your nails done, and get your hair cut on the weekends? Why can't you do some of your errands when your husband gets home? Ohhh...is it because you married a selfish moid who believes that parenting is not his problem, and won't even watch his own damn kids now and then so that his exhausted, frazzled wife can get a few things done?
Sucks to be you, I guess.
I feel NO sympathy for her, because she's already given away in that first tweet that she resents women who have chosen freedom rather than domestic servitude to a husband and children, and given this, I'm 100% certain she views herself as superior to such women and likes to preach about the "joys of marriage and motherhood" until she gets frustrated after a long day and wants to complain about it. She's blaming feminism (which here results in women having the ability to become self-sufficient rather than rely on a man) for not giving her access to these women and allowing her to use them as babysitters, instead of accepting that choosing to marry and have children with a selfish man is the root of her frustration.
Reasons I think the hate campaign against JKR was successful in online spaces to the point that engaging with Harry Potter will get you labeled as a "bad person". Unlike engaging with Neil Gaiman's works, as Good Omens was trending recently.
Males, specifically TIMs, are leading the vilification of JKR. The trans-supporting women and girls see TIMs as the most oppressed of all 4ever and see the TIMs as an authority on all things oppression, so are following along.
These males send rape and death threats and I think the women and girls coming across that want to avoid their wrath. So if they are still interested in Harry Potter, they keep it on the down low.
JKR invalidates the TIPs genderfeels which directly affects them, unlike Neil Gaiman being a rapist which only affects some woman they don't know or care about.
It's mostly women making it known that Neil is a rapist. Some people might get scolded for still engaging in his works, but are probably not going to get rape threats (would be tone-deaf) or death threats.
And of course, JKR is a woman while Neil is a man. A man can be criminal and people will say separate the art from the artist. A woman can just have opinions you don't like and people will say she deserves to die and anyone who still likes her works will be deemed bad by association.
Even so, Harry Potter is popular worldwide and remains popular. Regular people who aren't terminally online continue to enjoy the franchise and buy related products. The hate campaign hasn't affected her sales. And even some TRAs virtue-signal how much they hate JKR while still enjoying Harry Potter, whether openly or in secret.

"I CANT HANDLE THIS" *handles this*
"I CANT TAKE ANOTHER DAY" *takes another day*
the thing about phone in bed is that it's so awesome. almost makes you feel like betraying & destroying yourself for nothing isn't all so bad
there’s nothing inherently oppressive about female biology, including pregnancy or periods - women don’t have “inferior” bodies to males, we literally outlive them in every society despite a brutal patriarchy
what exists is medical misogyny, and it’s the reason why pregnancies and periods are so much more harmful than necessary in a scientifically advanced, modern society
but to think that the issue is inherently women’s bodies is just wrong, though i get why the patriarchy can trick you into believing this
women and girls just haven’t been the spotlight at all within medical research, but many people - both females and males - wouldn’t exist or survive into adulthood if not for scientific innovation
it’s not female bodies which are the problem, it’s just the fact women and girls haven’t been deemed worthy enough to understand, and we were barred from scientific fields for millennia
All the platitudes in the world won't change that nature is brutal and childbirth is extremely dangerous. It won't change that menstruation is incredibly disruptive to a person's daily life and puts her in a vulnerable position.
Only the female body is hell to live in from puberty onward, and it has absolutely nothing to do with the patriarchy, but everything to do with the fact that we essentially live with a chronic illness which causes us debilitating pain on-schedule and exacerbates any existing conditions we have. Medical misogyny didn't give you cramps and back pain, nature did. "Scientifically advanced, modern society" is the only reason some women have the massive privilege of skipping their periods, and if medicine was female-centric, ending menstruation in a healthy way would be a central goal.
Nature is cruel without patriarchy. The female body is oppressive without the patriarchy. We're not as bad as the female octopus destined to be eaten by her offspring, but young women have all the right to be frustrated.
i think one of the worst things the left wing internet ever did was push the idea that oppression is basically a virtue, and being oppressed is a sign of your morality. it has made it like…impossible for some of you to hold the idea that most people are privileged in some ways and oppressed in others. AND a lot of you seem to have it in your mind that terrible people cannot be oppressed, and that oppressed people cannot do terrible things, which is a dangerous rhetoric to hold imo.
women keep trying to invent the kind of femininity that will be subversive revolutionary and untouched by misogyny so that they don't have to feel bad for wanting to enjoy the social benefits of performing it but they can't and they never will because the express purpose of femininity is to shackle women up. so that's that.

an opinion that might make me lose followers: theres nothing feminist, noble, admirable about being pregnant or giving birth
Women on r/philosophy
Are there any justifications for the concept of quantum leaping? What happends to this universe if you jump to another? Open debate.
Men on r/philosophy
Why is rape and sexual assault actually bad? Like Ik it's traumatising but what if they don't find out?
