the amount of ppl who have never had to suddenly take responsibility for a stray or feral animal with a complex situation going on when their own lives are falling apart who feel entitled to judge the decisions being made by people who do is staggering. and like. many such cases obviously. its human nature to be like "well EYE would be able to quickly and easily make the Correct Decisions about this situation" whenever we see strangers doing stuff we think we would do differently. it makes us feel better and displaces discomfort about seeing people or animals struggling in difficult situations. but to see these people act like this behavior is somehow advocacy for these animals is so fucking galling. it's not. you're making yourself feel better and accomplishing nothing else. except making my life more irritating, which makes it even harder to try to focus on the things I need to focus on to make the hard decisions that you're going around claiming are easy. 👍
