One of the nicest things I ever had a reader say to me was that I inspired her to start writing for the first time ever, because something I said made it click that she didn't have to write for any reason other than that she wanted to. Didn't have to worry about if it was "good", didn't have to care whether people would like it, didn't have put it on ao3, didn't have to share it with anyone; her own enjoyment of the story was enough.

i know i know. we all interpret johnny as charismatic rockerboy who fucks and doesn’t have crushes because that’s lame. but there is something beautiful about the idea of a silverhand who is simultaneously so emotionally suppressed but also so into V that it makes him ill. the guy who’s never chased anyone in his life is suddenly viscerally pursuing some rando while trying to stay nonchalant about it. has to drink himself half to death before he has the courage to speak to them. probably jerks off weird style about V and then immediately feels angry and humiliated about it. that’s the good stuff.
