i literally just wrote this

Loki knew power.

It had been exerted over him - wielded against him. He had seen lightning caught in the palm of one hand; seen whole worlds destroyed with the snap of a finger.

He himself had housed enough energy coursing through his own body to sustain the whole multiverse for all of time.

But the gentle strength of the arms around his shoulders was something he had never felt before. The careful fingers digging into his back and scalp, wishing to stake claim but so afraid of causing harm.

Power, without pain.

Tom Ryder x Ryland Grace. Coltland twins AU. Somehow Tom got Ryland back to his trailer

Tom sat down sideways on the couch beside him. Tom's elbow was leaned against the back of the couch and he watched Grace take the first few sips. It was like he was waiting for something. "Do I make you nervous?" Tom asked. There was a playful tone to his voice. "A little I guess," Grace admitted. Tom had a reputation of being unpredictable. "Because I'm pretty?" Grace didn't know how to answer. Of course Tom was pretty. He was Tom Ryder. And he didn't have his shirt on. And he was currently sitting close enough that their legs were touching. Grace didn't know where exactly to look. Tom's eyes seemed the safest option. "You're pretty too, though," Tom said.

The blinding light dims and Loki blinks as the man they love is replaced by a young woman. She tilts her head upwards, though her eyes remain hidden by hair.

"I loved him," she whispers. The words echo around the small dark space like a curse. "I loved him and they took him from me."

Then, she steps forward, moving through Loki like they're the incorporeal one. They choke as every cell in their body seizes and that same chill burns down their spine.

Today I have something different. It's a part of the third chapter for this Tom Ryder/Ryland Grace Coltland twin AU fic I've been writing. I haven't gotten very far into this chapter yet so nothing too exciting

"He's been so crabby all day. I wonder what crawled up his ass and died all of a sudden," Colt wondered. Grace rolled his eyes at the crass language. He knew Tom could be difficult sometimes and that Colt dealt with a good chunk of the actor's drama. But he did hate Tom a lot more than was necessarily warranted in Grace's opinion."Sorry this has taken so long. Ryder has been in such a mood today," Colt said. Grace nodded, finally swallowing the bite of food. "It's okay. I haven't been waiting that long." They were going to go hang out once Colt was free. The weather was beautiful and the location they were filming on was perfect. The nearby beaches were calling to them to hang out either basking in the sun or swimming in the water. Afterward, they planned to grab dinner together. Ryland was looking forward to it. It reminded him of the summer vacations of their youth. "He's been so crabby all day. "Get in the car," she snapped at the boys and they scrambled to comply. Then, Mobius found his personal space invaded by all of his ex-wife's six-foot height and he very resolutely did not shrink before her.

"Look here," she hissed, green eyes flashing as they snapped to Loki and swept him up and down, her livid expression never changing. "I don't give a fuck what you do in your free time, Don-"

"Don't call me that, he interrupted hotly. She rolled her eyes with a huff, then jabbed a finger toward his chest.

"I got a phone call from the FBI today, Mobius."

i'll probably change it later, cuz i decided i want this scene to be from Loki's pov but ! words are words 👏 and im quite happy with them

More of the tapes Grace sent from Project Hail Mary

The video shifted into watching the two of them work together. Rocky needed space on the ship, so he and Grace built it. The way they bickered while setting it up reminded Stratt of building Ikea furniture. Rocky was a little bossy at times but he was often right. "Grumpy. Angry. Stupid. How long since last sleep?" Rocky asked. At least someone was making sure he slept. Grace was notorious for going days with little sleep back on the Vat. The rest of the scientists knew to avoid him as much as they could on those days. Stratt had done her best to make sure he slept by making him work on the couch in her office. Eventually, the quiet of the office and the softness of the couch would work their magic and Grace would doze off. She only ever admitted to Carl that the couch was purchased specifically for Grace to nap on. Rocky's methods for getting Grace to sleep were a little more direct than hers but still effective.
