A bit more About Me under the cut
I am in my early 30s, mom to a stupidly adorable dog (see tag "sputnikposting"), and work some kind of job that I complain about from time to time. I'm currently preparing to begin working towards a master's degree, which is, you know, terrifying, but no pressure.
My primary fandom is Hetalia, which I have been in for nearly fifteen years, because something something special interest hyperfixation something something. I'm also on the very edges of TURN: Washington's Spies fandom, though I've mostly fallen out of it. I also reblog from a variety of other fandoms, but as far as fanworks and meta go, it's pretty much all Hetalia from me.

I am decidedly to the left on most political matters, if you were wondering, and stand in support of those continuing to fight for democracy and peace in Israel.

Now that I've had time to sleep on it, I am a little disappointed with the purple. I told the stylist I preferred bluer purples and showed some pictures, and she said she didn't need to lift at all because since my natural color is a light brown she thought it would work, and now that I'm looking it's definitely burgundy more than purple. It still looks nice, I'm just like... When this fades I'll get the manic panic out, I guess?
It was cheaper than I was expecting and I'm wondering if that's why, she said something to herself about "red" as she was finishing up and I'm kinda like... yeah. it is red.
Love my new hair but i have to be careful because the significantly more noticable hair-scalp contrast means the thinning is not subtle in some spots
My dad's side of the family did not have this problem. He also didn't see a dentist until he enlisted at 18 and needed no fillings. I can't believe I ended up with my mom's side's shitty hair AND teeth. Dog shit.

the replacement of websites with apps sounds so backwards when you actually describe it. like hmm you have to download an entire program onto your device each time you want access to a portal, where it takes up storage indefinitely. somebody should invent an app where you can "browse" any portal just by typing in its address... 🥴

Summerween is such a fucking bummer, it was fun when it was a little cartoon joke that people celebrated in a low-key way, but now the corporations got a hold of it and there's so much plastic bright colored "summerween-y" crap for sale and if you complain about the seasonal creep people will go "aww but it's not halloween it's SUMMERWEEN"
Look, I love Halloween. There's Halloween decorations that are part of my year round home decor. But it's not special if it's happening all the time, and this is 100% corporate cash grab bullshit
I dislike how Halloween has been creeping earlier and earlier into August. Spooky Season should be late September at the absolute earliest.
It feels like all the Halloween merchandise has been bought by October and now stores are stocking Christmas stuff during what should be prime Spooky Season. It's wrong!
I'm down for Halloween starting in September, and I even get a little excited to see stuff come late August, but JULY? JUNE??? ARE YOU SHITTING ME?
I had a Halloween party last year and had to order plates and shit from Amazon because by the time it came close enough to the party for me to think about buying that kinda stuff, IT WAS ALREADY GONE FROM THE STORES
