If The World Had A Front Porch:

With a deep, smiling sigh, Nib relaxed more into the embrace of their partners, bringing their mug up to their lips and taking a sip, the warm, spiced apple coating their tongue. One of Volt's hands moved from his mug, resting on their leg, fingertips rubbing along the inside of their thigh. They let out a soft hum, one hand coming off their mug to rest over his, thumb brushing over his knuckles. Eddie's head tilts, his cheek against the crown of their head, and they nudge their head up into the affection, eyes half-lidded as they listened to the rumble of thunder and the heavy rain. The scent of rain-soaked soil carried to them on the porch, adding to the serenity of the scene.

And probably more I cant remember.

But the point is, never limit yourself by believing that you can't do something. You never know where a story idea will take you. And it has no bearing on you as a person if you write something different than what you would normally. Writing is a way to explore characters but also yourself and the world around you. It can also just be fun and escapism. Any words you write are valid, regardless of how many people read your story.

Sleep was fitful and a grand failure.

Loki tossed and turned, restless as a drowning rodent.

In his dreams, Odin and Frigga watched on as he was marched to the executioner's block, Frigga weeping with a frozen face that spilled tears from glassy eyes. Odin stared at him with nothing in his stare, void of any emotion, even pity.

His brother held the axe, instead of the hooded man who Loki had never cared to learn the name of.

Maybe it was ironic; Loki’s own consciousness gave him a face to the man who would end his life.

He jumped awake as the axe fell to cleave his head from his shoulders and Don’s name was on his lips.

I wanted to write Loki with chronic pain. This was supposed to be largely fluff but of course it ran from me lol

With the blooming day comes new aches. After Loki’s post-breakfast nap, these pains have kept him largely in bed. He watches the rare bird outside while Mobius flips through a magazine, his headache preventing much else—formed, for some obscene reason, after his attempt to wield Seidr. Lunch stirs no interest. Now, his shoulders and hips aggravate him. The chill sneaks deeper every hour, it’s sole deterrent snuffing, and Loki finds no energy to poke it. His ensuing chatter of teeth is audible. “I would ask you to tend the fire, but you’re so warm,” Loki mumbles, pressed flush to Mobius’ side with an arm flung around him. “You’re really cold, huh?” “Why would I lie?” “That was rhetorical.” Mobius strokes Loki’s hair, tangling his fingers within. “How’s the pain?” “Worse.” “Maybe I should tend the fire. Give me just a minute.” Before Loki can protest, Mobius climbs out of bed. A bit of poking and some sticks revive the flames, now glowing bright as ever, but it’s still not enough. Loki tells Mobius as much.

i actually wrote a bit yesterday! ive been gripped by the idea of a princess bride lokius au, so here ya go, have some of that!

The word "love" was not spoken, but it shone in every lingering glance. It whispered in every soft request and every softer reply of, "As you wish."

"Do you not grow tired of always doing as you're told?" Loki asked of him, one lazy afternoon, in the kitchen. Even the pot bubbled lazily, over the fire.

Mobius shook his head, with a smile.

"Never," he answered. "Not when it's you."
