yeah yeah we all know i'm proud of this one. guys i'm SO proud of this one!!!! i was rereading it for the one year anniversary of posting the first chapter and i'm still so pleased with the tension and stakes especially around the climax

actually i am gonna hype myself up about the necrophilia fic bc i think it turned out great and i'm really proud of the prose and imagery, plus i do feel like it balances out the tradwife porn nicely so no one can ever accuse me of being sanitized lmao. but also i think i did a good job giving just enough detail to let the reader fill in the rest and do the work of horrifying themselves

the aforementioned tradwife porn. i love the pacing of this one and how it's essentially an extended montage. every time i try to write something else in this style i put it down bc i genuinely don't think that i can do this style better than this fic (at least until i improve my skills a whole lot)

clematis

more body horror which we know i love! it's always very tough to figure out how to describe surrealist imagery but i think the concept and prose worked together nicely in this. also lots of people left very kind comments reassuring me that the tone i was going for came across where the situation is objectively horrifying but the characters love each other through/despite/because of the horror. i also really love the way i wrote volt's creation in this and am planning on doing something else with that at some point because i find it so compelling

Eddie stifled a snort and went back to mapping out where they planned to build the aquarium. Eventually he would need Volt’s help making sure all his lines were straight and the math was solid, but for now he let him attempt to make headway with the mermaid. Mr. Most had been adamant that she be tamed to some degree before the opening. Neither man thought there was any way to ‘tame’ a mermaid, but what did they know? They were just the help. Names continued to be tested out. Hettie, Maia, Grace, Amalthea, Irene, Anna, and Calypso – among many others – didn’t earn Volt so much as an eyebrow twitch. Somewhere between Eudora and Sara, her expression did finally begin to morph. Her blank, mask-like expression slowly took on something akin to exasperation. A brow crept up, her mouth twitched to one side, and her head canted the other way. Volt of course took this as some sort of encouragement. “Gertrude?” Her nose actually scrunched at that one. Laughing gaily at finally getting some sort of reaction, Volt scratched the name off. “I do believe that is a resounding ‘no’. Between you and me, my dear, I don’t think the name would have suited you at all. However, I wanted you to have options.” He added in a conspiratorial whisper that earned him a nameless expression and a faint pursing of lips. “What about Ophelia?” There was no nose scrunch, but her head shifted and she almost seemed to be considering the name. “Kind of ironic for a mermaid, isn’t it?” Eddie questioned, looking up from the book he was referencing. “Didn’t she drown herself because some guy broke her heart?” “Did you really just refer to Hamlet as ‘some guy’?” When Volt’s eyes fell on Eddie’s amused smirk, he rolled his eyes. “You are terrible Eddison. But I do concede that it would be a touch unfitting.”

Today is the one year anniversary of when I returned to writing fanfiction through Date Everything!

Since then, I’ve done about 535,000 words of writing, almost entirely in the DE! fandom, which even surprises me most days!

What better way to mark a year than to revisit the very first work I ever wrote for Eddie and Volt; The Breake(Ring) Box! The fic you never thought would get a sequel!

I generally don’t like rereading my stuff, which is why I tend to write short oneshots and vignettes (one and done! like little doves I give a kiss on the head to before releasing…..bye bye pookie), but this was quite fun! I’m going with the ones I still felt pleased to read and had zero to no desire to edit hehe

Breaker Hall - E, 34.2k-?, Eddie/Volt

I know, shocker! Where do I even begin with this one. This AU is at the intersection of everything I like - a comedy of manners, basically. So it’s completely self-indulgent and is always fun for me to write and think about etc etc! I wanted a little playground where I could examine Eddie and Volt’s personalities with a magnifying glass, and also I wanted a fun little way to improve as a writer - just somewhere where I could write as dry as I wanted while I figured out how words work. I think this is the only fic I do reread, but it really was made for me, so… (next chapter on friday 🙂‍↕️)

the four seasons - T, 1.1k, Eddie/Volt/Reader

If there ever was a fic I had no desire to later edit I think it’d be this! Very short post-realization vignettes; I still like how the minimalist prose reads vividly here, which is kind of what I like to aim for whenever I write!

don’t it feel (soft) - E, 1.7k, Eddie/Volt/Reader

I think I parked this one for like a month or so? Just because I felt it was lacking a lil something the first time around - I felt like a Sim that had to increase their writing skill first or whatever. I still like it a lot! I think all 1.7k words still deserve to be on there, which isn’t always what I feel writing smut. This also made me blush when I was proofreading it like woah ok! ANYways.

This one has a confidence I’m still proud of! Not a word wasted, and I like how… realistic/lifelike? this still feels on the reread, which was how I wanted to improve when writing smut!

These twelve little vignettes are my favorite children!! My writer’s dozen!! I like writing short dreamlike things, which these all are, and I love tinkering with every single word in a 300-400 word vignette like it’s my religion! My absolute favorites (don’t tell the others) out of this collection are: homage, portrait, now do me live wire, worship (eddie and volt), and eddie’s hands.

(too hot to) keep it secret, and nikes in berlin (which… I should finish at some point!), both of which have special places in my heart for being a bit more self-indulgent than my other smut fics

this one was written for whumptober last year. it went very easily the whole time, which is rare for me 😍 i still think it's a lot of fun to read and very self indulgent with the tears 😅 i reread it pretty often

On the Edge of Your Knife - T, 2.9k, Lokius encounter a dangerous variant of Lady Loki.

written for the Febuwhump prompt "forced to hurt another" 😈🧡💚 this one was different from anything else i had ever written in that i went into it with a clear idea (lady loki and the use of runes), but not knowing how to execute it. i had to do a lot of problem solving which was very gratifying when it (i think) worked out!

At Last - G, 7.2k, The boys go undercover as a newly married couple at a romantic resort; cue feelings ✨

😍 just pure fun, i wrote it for lokiusweek, it took over a large portion of my life for a while, and im very happy with how it came out 👏

Hopeless Hallelujah - G, 300, Loki has a bad dream, short hurt/comfort 💚🧡

this one came fully formed into my brain. from concept to finish only took abt 2hrs which has never happened to me before or since 🤩 and i reread it a LOT. so. i think this one was told to me by the universe, i just wrote it down.

Like a Dog Inspires a Rabbit - T, 5.2k, Lokius are separated and hunted by a Timely variant on a mostly deserted island

this was also written for whumptober 🤩💚🧡 i reread The Most Dangerous Game for this one and it is heavily inspired by that. at the time this was my longest fic and my first real attempt at something action/adventure-y and while there are some changes i would make if i were writing it now, im still SO happy with how it turned out. i have showed this one to family members, thats how proud of it i am 🤩😍

I’m in a bit of a writing slump right now (still writing, but more erratically than usual) and thought this would be a nice opportunity to bolster myself with memories of some of my past achievements. 💖

With over 170 fics posted, it was very hard to single out five, because there are so many I’m proud of for various reasons. So the below are mostly just a random sampling of such.

Abnegation

(Slow-burn, 100k)

No surprises that this is my proudest accomplishment thus far. To date, it is my only longfic, and the fact I got it done at all still astounds me. The fact it’s actually decent is even more remarkable. I thoroughly enjoyed the world building, my OCs, and the number of times I was able to make Loki cry. 🤣 It’s been four months since I finished it, and I’m still low-key riding the high. 🥰

Remnants of Travail

(Mobius angst, 6k, early Revival-verse)

Admittedly, I probably haven’t read this since I posted it wayyyy back in 2024, and given I was still a baby writer then, it’s likely awful. 🫣 However, the reason I’m including it is because it was the first time I remember seriously struggling with getting a WIP completed, and once it was done, could barely believe I’d managed to write something readable using this idea. 🤭

Pujunguny

(Fluff, 3.3k, part of To Live Anew)

Likewise, there is nothing remarkable about this fic, and yet I feel compelled to share it here. I think I captured the imagery and Loki’s sensory experiences pretty well, and the humorous little silly twist at the end still makes me smile. Plus it’s Lokius getting all soggy in the rain, who can resist that? 😆🤷‍♀️

Summer of Us

I WAS INSANE FOR THIS. I actually mean it. I wrote and posted a fic every day throughout Dec 2025, using the daily prompts for the event Fluffcember; each fic a “chapter” of an overarching slowburn with Lokius on summer vacation together. I have never reread this, and given I wrote most of them on no sleep, half dead, delirious and brain-wrung, I’m sure they are far from perfect.

But gods damn it, am I proud of this one. 😭

Derivation

(Angst/romance/getting together, 5.5k)

I’ve included this in lists before, and it still stands as a piece of writing I take great pride in. The concept, which came from a Lokius kinkmeme request, absolutely did my head in, and I was incredibly pleased with how it all came together.

Honourable mentions:

Anamnesis (Canon-compliant, 1k) - my first try at writing drabbles, because I wasn’t sure whether I could even do it. A ten drabble collection, set across seasons 1 and 2 of Loki, and I think they’re pretty damn good!

Revival Part III (Fluff, getting together, 3.2k) - the third ‘chapter’ of the OG Revival. I’ve always adored the cute, sweet, cosy vibes of this one. Back when I first wrote it, I read it myself over and over for pure comfort. 😌
