i am Jewish, white, bisexual, a young adult, an anti-zionist, USian, and a transsexual that uses he/him exclusively: i post about all of these things and the intersections therein from personal experience.

as a rule i believe that most things are nuanced.
i am Jewish and an anti-zionist, meaning i believe in the necessity of Palestinian liberation, the urgency of morally condemning the israeli state as it currently exists, and in combating antisemitism wherever it exists, in this movement as in any other. i do not believe these statements contradict one another.
i don’t identify myself definitively as an anarchist or a communist and i won’t until i read more serious political theory on the matter. from what i can tell i fall left of liberal on pretty much every issue and often lean anarchist specifically on some.
i find dark subjects interesting to explore in fiction. this means that sometimes i talk about media with themes around violence, abuse, SA, etc on this blog, and sometimes how it relates to real life. filter that out if it bothers you.
i don’t buy into the idea of “transandrophobia” bc 1) i don’t think it’s a useful ideological framework for understanding the origins and impacts of transphobia that trans men experience, 2) the way it’s used by a lot of guys on here is simply straight up transmisogynistic.
most kinks are value neutral to me as long as everything is safe sane and consensual. human sexuality is naturally weird and has all sorts of facets. the only real exception to that imo is raceplay, something im not even going to try to defend nor do i want to.

what would you have me say? how am i supposed to tell this story? here is an attempt: i built a house, once, and i laid pieces of myself inside the walls, and now when i go back there the windows sing to me. or maybe it’s like this, instead; i watered a tree until it bore fruit that wasn’t any kind i recognized, and when i took a bite and turned back the tree had disappeared. don’t you see? the narratives can’t hold their own weight; maybe there was a dog or a feather of some kind, or a road on an empty winter night or a snake that knows all the names in the world but ours. or maybe it’s nothing so grand as that. maybe it’s just me, writing the words inadequately and then you, reading them. just me and you in this text, me and you and the door that is always there and never opens every day of your life until one day it does. the problem with the door is not that it opens or does not open. the problem with the door is that there is no one to tell you why the outcome was different when you tried the handle that day. the problem is that imagery creeps back into the prose no matter what i do. and in this moment there is no one but me, nothing but me and you, not a thing but me and you and the image of the door and the assembly of endless metaphor and the aching, churning absence of reason for any of it. and how can an absence churn? i don’t know, but it does, doesn’t it? and so it does.

I’m reading this book about the changing arctic and the author stayed with the Nunamiut people of inland alaska for a while and talked to this high school kid who was like “ugh I hate going to school in the spring I wish I was hunting caribou” and I thought that was charming. you often hear about people who are devoted to preserving their traditional culture and knowledge but it’s rare to hear about someone who’s invested in the old ways out of pure teenage selfishness. school is lame and hunting caribou is awesome
