My favorite part was the ending when Izzy survived the gunshot wound and is now living with Ed and Stede in a polycule in their inn.

Beautiful ending.

“Oi!” Mary shouted, startling the shit out of everyone, given how Anne, Izzy, and Stede all jumped along with Ed. “Get a fucking room,” She added before taking a drag on her cigarette. “What’s the matter, Read? Hate seeing someone fighting better than you?” Izzy taunted back, recovering faster than Stede did. “Hard to be better than the best fucking fighter on the seas,” She retorted. “I was talking about Stede.” “Hey!” Stede tried to protest, but he was grinning too big for anyone to take it seriously. “Don’t get your pants in a twist L-,” Izzy coughed. “Wasn’t exactly an insult.” “The implication was there,” Stede pointed out, gesturing with his sword. “And you picked up on it. Good for you, wanna prize?” Stede smirked. “Suppose that depends on what it is?” He countered. Izzy huffed and shook his head, stepping closer to Stede and saying something too softly to be heard. Ed narrowed his eyes, watching the spark in Izzy’s eyes burn brighter, watching the flush start to build in Stede’s cheeks. What the fuck was Izzy saying to Stede to get a reaction like that out of him?

“I’m actually surprised you’re still on the Revenge,” Ed said after a moment, taking a quick sip. “Thought for sure you were gonna go off with Bellamy after he said he saw you at the mask party.” “Why the fuck would I go off with that Twat?” Izzy asked, pulling his gaze away from Stede with a scowl. “Because you two always had an off and on thing,” Ed reasoned. “Thought maybe-“ “I stayed with you for nearly twenty fucking years, and our thing has been decidedly ‘off’ for the better part of a decade,” Izzy retorted. “So?” Ed frowned, glancing at Stede who didn’t seem to be at all bothered by whatever was happening, sipping his drink casually. Had Ed told him he and Izzy were a thing, once? He didn’t think so, but maybe he’d gotten really fucking drunk one night and told him. Or, fucking insane as it may be, maybe Izzy told him? “So," Izzy said, "maybe my loyalty has a little less to do with whether or not my Captain fucks me.” Stede spluttered, coughing as he sloshed his drink on his shirt.

“Well, it’s not unreasonable, Babe,” Edward said. “Captain Bonnet,” Izzy snapped out. “Yes, Mr. Hands?” Stede immediately turned to him. “No, Sir, I was not addressing you. I was telling Blackbeard to show you the proper respect you deserve,” He turned slowly to Edward, who gave him a puzzled frown. He was turned, though, with one hand resting on the table, the other draped over the back of his chair, so at least his hands weren’t on Stede anymore. “His name is Bonnet, Captain Bonnet, or the Gentleman Pirate. Not these endearments you keep slipping in like you can’t remember his fucking name.”

Super late to the conceived s3, Episode 8 of Season 2 never happened party, but it's a start. The first two chapters are up! Will be updating at the very least every Saturday (EST).

Summary:

Mum: “He already has massive aggression. I think Stede likes it.”

Me: “Um. You think Stede likes…?”

Mum: “He thinks Edward is silly, not scary.

Me: “OH.” 💀

She also has *so much* to say about Izzy Hands.

Mum: “He is so jealous. Of course he goes looking to spoil fun.”

Me: “Yeah, I think so. But he has been serving Blackbeard for like, decades…and now Stede is his new favourite.”

Mum: “Well, if he wanted Blackbeard he should have said something!”

Me: “True! I think Izzy needs someone less chaotic and more devoted to be honest.”

Mum: “Like Stede? Or more like that lovely boy with the book.”

Me: “Maybe!” 😭 “I just …wait, do you mean Lucius?”

Mum: “Yes. I think he needs someone soft and sweet to melt his cold, black heart.” 💀🖤 #Sprizzy

AND THEN I lost my fucking marbles because she seems to be under the impression that Ed and Izzy are divorced. Like, canonically. (Honestly, it tracks.)

Mum: “He has left like this before. Does it always end like this?

Me: “I ask myself the same question.” 😔😭(#EdIzzyMoment)

Mum: “He is not taking the divorce well at all.”

Me: “What was that about the long and hard rueing?”

Mum: “He needs it. He will be back.”
