Please don’t listen to what previous anon has said.
They’re in no right (or need) to say that to you or anyone regardless of your stance on why GB Lady has decided to keep Rose on the team. Believe me (or at least, us as a community) when I say most of us do not share that sentiment to people we don’t agree with.
While I’m still kind of on the fence on the whole situation, I think most of us just want to keep the peace as much as we can and not reenact the negativity in the community back then while processing our own thoughts on the matter. Which is a evil in and of itself, but I think taking space and time to reflect is a important thing before making any impulse decisions.
I think you are 100% allowed to feel upset about Rose coming back, and that isn’t something everyone will agree with, and that’s okay. Things like this need to be spoken out on so our community and communication can improve and all that. Which is really cheesy but everything is cheesy when you think about it long enough. Some people can say the same things but in different ways. Which change a lot on how people receive them is all.
Sorry if this is really long winded and not that helpful/comforting. I just thought previous anon was being really mean for no reason and I guess I wanted to say something. Although I’m a bit of a coward too since I use anon as well.
Hope you are okay when you read this!!! If not, you’ll feel better soon. Don’t listen to mean people saying rude and insensitive things. (I don’t think they can spell very well if that’s any sort of reassurance.)
xoxo, anon
Hey there, anon! I was mostly out all weekend (family was visiting) and it was lovely to see your message in my Inbox. Thank you for sending this to me, it means a lot. :)
I don't take stuff like that hateful DM (and the... multiple they sent later) to heart, because I know folks like that are just seeking attention. I'm a parent, so I'm very familiar with this kind of behavior, and I hope that more positive validation finds them soon because behaving that way is simply detrimental to one's character in the long run.
There's nothing wrong with being on the fence about the announcement, or even really having no issue with it whatsoever; everyone can and should feel the way they want about it because the original situation was so dicey. There was so much initial backlash that there was even a post from the dev about how to get refunds if you disagreed with their inclusion on the team... and you don't do that unless it's a very real community situation. And so, people who decided to stick around after that are going to be understandably confused and/or upset when it suddenly gets Reverse Uno'd again.
I got one other anon message, from someone who is pretty upset about the situation, and it's a completely reasonable statement. As I said in my initial comment, it's more about how this was an off-the-cuff lie regarding the "always intended to be temporary" part. It's dishonest, especially when completely ignoring the reasons people were upset about this in the first place. Gamers aren't stupid and I wish more people were able to recognize that. That is my issue here.
