I am once again begging people to realize that AI checker doesn’t work. it’s never worked. it’s notoriously known to have flagged human-made works as AI and AI-generated works as human-made. and by feeding it people’s works, you are feeding more works to AI, because apparently the machine itself is AI.

1) Who the fuck cares. Who the fuck cares what people do with their time! That's kind of the fucking point!

2) People aren't going to stop laboring. Housework (look, it's right there in the word!) will still need to be done. So will maintenance on our homes and personal spaces. Children will still need carers, as will the elderly and disabled. There are millions of examples of ~work~ that we do all the time, uncompensated, that won't suddenly stop because we aren't forced to sell our labor to provide corporation's profits.

I'm not surprised that what is traditionally women's work is invisible to these dipshits, but it never fails to anger me.

imo way too many people are going through life thinking they're just going to be sensitive to rejection for life because of how some people (not OP, but definitely plenty of ADHD influencers) talk about this "symptom." I don't think it's terribly productive that it gets constantly cordoned off as its own thing. like a lot of ADHD, while it sucks to have it shape your life up to the point you realize what it is, it is indeed possible to exposure therapy & DBT your way out of it.

What conceptualizing RSD as a category of trauma response to social triggers does is allow us to treat it like any other trauma response. It pulls RSD out of the bioessentialist framework and into the realm of injuries that can be treated, learned associations that can be unlearned. It turns out that the same techniques that help with PTSD triggers, including the same damn meds (hi, clonidine), are effective for helping reduce RSD. (It also explains why RSD is also common in autistic people, who often have a similar history of social error and narratives of self blame, without requiring inherent neurological differences.)

In 10 years yes the orphans will have a roof over their head. But Will the staff be well paid? Will the maintenance be up kept? Etc etc? The answer is likely no because the only reason the rich man wanted it was for rich man look good points. Once he gets his reward he will begin to neglect his duties.

And neglecting you duties when you own an orphanage means that there will be orphans who would be better off homeless or in a state facility.

According to Judaism the best form of charity is where the person giving doesn't know who is getting it and the person receiving it doesn't know who gave it.

Because it saves people from potentially feeling any sense of shame or embarrassment and that is giving just to help.

And at the same time there is this idea that if a person does things that good like giving to charity, but they don't necessarily do because for the "right reasons" like the example OP gave the more a person does these things, the more they surround themselves in this action the higher the potential is that will come to understand the importance of what they are doing and being to do it for the "right reason"

And again you have to understand Judaism, Jewish thought, and Jewish philosophy to understand that our perspective is very much about what needs doing you do and what needs fixing you fix.

So using the example OP gave lets say the rich man only gives money for 10 years well during that time the orphanage doesn't have to worry about money which means they start to think about not just their needs now, but also what to do in the future should they not be able to rely on this rich donor. So they set up some kind large scale rainy day fund or start curating lists of donors for the future, etc.

It is not like hope is lost or that all their eggs are in this one basket.
