I just love that it seems to be an innate part of humanity to love a piece of fiction *so much* that even as a child you're so inspired to contribute your own thoughts and stories to it with probably no intention to do anything with those contributions besides have and enjoy them, having no concept of sharing them with millions of people on the internet for comments and kudos. Just creating because you love it. We as people just do that innately. That moves me.

Two little watercolor and graphite warm ups from a few months ago

Ocarina of Time is such a special game man. It has been years yet it still continues to break my heart. I already mentioned it in the tags of another post but to reiterate: the relationship of link and zelda in this game is so tragic to me. At all points except that brief glimpse in the castle courtyard the two of them are mismatched in time and circumstances. Zelda has spend seven years suffering for the choice she was forced to make to protect her people when she was younger while link was locked away and essentially skipped forward to the apocalypse. She became older while he remained the same and when she sent him back in time out of guilt and duty, the roles are reversed. Everything is okay now, except nothing will be the same. There is so much guilt and regret between them, yet they cannot find solace in each other’s company either. Doomed to be strangers, one left in ruins and the other forgotten. They’re disconnected.

(also, him not being annoyed at all when Gekkomon interrupts the reunion and stops him from running over. He's confused, but still willing to hear his little brother out)
