She was in the habit of traveling between settlements, using her magic to bless their crops and heal their ailments. Fruit and flowers were bountiful wherever her dainty hooves stepped, and some say it was her generosity that led to her downfall. The blessing of the Stara can extend from material blessings of nature to weaving enchantments over mortals that give them magic powers. The last town she went to was waiting for her. Captured, they tried to force her to bless them and she refused. Too gentle-hearted to fight back and turn against the mortals she loved so much, she was slain at their hands and joined her sister Venesu in the sky. Perhaps not as bright as the fallen warrior, her glow is a soft pink, brightest in late winter and early spring.
