The Eclair reveal is almost here. I want to talk about an early toy leak.

This early toy leak shows 5 colors rather than 4. Toys usually hint at how many Cures there will be that season, as well as their main color. The 5th color (yellow) doesn't match Answer, Mystic, Arcana Shadow or Eclair as a main color.

Whose color is yellow?

Some comments are saying purple and yellow are meant for Arcana Shadow but it wouldn't make sense for an early Precure toy to give 2 colors out of 5 to a single character while everyone else only gets one. And why 5 colors if we are only getting 4 Cures this season? It doesn't add up.

I think either Jett-senpai or one of the remaining Eclair candidates will become a 5th star detective aka yellow cure.

Jett-senpai matches this color the best, he is an amazing character and his VA is very famous. Making him a Cure would be a good choice. I am just not %100 sure because he seems more interested in supporting the Cures rather than joining the fights himself. If he wanted to join he could probably invent a tool to transform.

On the other hand, it would be a better surprise and a plot twist if the yellow Cure was one of the remaining Eclair candidates. Why?

Because we assume that only one out of 4 girls will become a Cure. The remaining 3 won't be Eclair, but each one of them have valid reasons so they can be a yellow, a different Cure instead!

My pick for the 5th Star Detective is...

Rei! I found her design too bland to be Eclair and she is (probably) a red herring, but I ended up really liking her character. Her relationship with Pochitan is so heartwarming. She geniunely cares about protecting her school, gets along well with Anna and Mikuru and her recent episode had every Cure trigger except transformation:

Protecting Pochitan ✔️

Wishing for strength to protect everyone ✔️

She even said she wished to be a Precure. I don't think they would add this line specifically if they didn't intend to do anything with it. Eliza, Shiruku and Kurea all had different hints about being Eclair but I don't remember them saying they want to become a Cure. Rei was the only one saying it. She also seems to have an orange-yellow hair accessory, that might be her colors as a Cure.

This plot twist would work well because unlike a certain mid-season Cure *cough* CURE ACE *cough* we got to know each candidate in multiple episodes and they deserve to be Star Detectives.

As for why I am not picking the other girls:

Kurea... is most likely to be Eclair herself and she doesn't have yellow as her theme color.

Shiruku... is my choice of Eclair already. She is amazing, gives me Cure Butterfly vibes, and she would fit well as an adult Cure. I don't think she would become a yellow Cure, but I would still love to see her become a Cure regardless.

Eliza... she has a chance but I am not sure about her theme color. That's the only reason I am not picking her.
