Basically once he dug his way close enough to the surface to feel the sunlight just before the first corruption, he went haywire trying to not just feel the sun, but REACH IT (hence the giant, really fucking tall tower lmfao) After the sun disappeared once again, he went haywire once more with some twisted logic that came to the same conclusion as the first corruption—he was too far from the sun to see it or feel it, so if he built the tower again, he might be able to reach it. (Delulu logic there twin) (Plus since the gap between the first corruption and the current one really isn't that big (around five or six years), Blixer was still super sensitive to being without sunlight)
