WoL posting

Hi! I'm Shay, and this is my FFXIV Character Mallory Daxter! I made her back in 2021 (January but i didnt start seriously playing until August that year.) as my first character to try it out when a bunch of my friends had started playing it. Started on PS4, and then I started modding back in 2023 when I got my Steam Deck.

I'll probably be posting her more then anything so I'd like to introduce her a bit more.

Disclaimer: I am a Wol-Haurchefant shipper (single ship) open to interacting with other WOLs and fellow Haurchefant shippers and overall just anyone in the community. I do want to denote because of previous issues I had in RP previously I will not be engaging with it, mostly just posting lore and maybe some writing if I feel comfortable enough. I love seeing other WOLs and their ships and stories and talking about them with others though!

Mallory is a Keeper of the Moon from the Black Shroud, She is a Scholar (I call her particular variety Faemancer though) as her main Job and Pictomancer as her Alt job in canon. Her partner is Haurchefant Greystone, and her favorite DOL job is Botanist. She is bubbly and hopeful, and while a powerful WOL it's not really a physical strength 1v1 kind of power. Her companion Fairy is a Fat Cat fairy, and her Companion Chocobo is a purple sweet boy named Pooki.

Each filling a Role for Melee, Ranged, Magic dps tank, and Mallory being the Healer)

I also have an OC x OC ship (Akari and Faustina) which is a bit angsty. I really look forward to posting my own stuff rather then reblogging exclusively though! I am excited to see other WOLs and OCs and enjoy in the story indulgence, and hopefully become more familar with others in the process. I do tend to use alot of pre-made poses and adjusting as needed as I'm not supppeeerrr good at posing yet but I am trying to familiarize myself better with the posing stuff :3 most of the really good stuff is Comms from my friends 🩷💚 do not be afraid to message me/ask if you want links to anything mods wise I am always open to sending unless it's a personal commission (my makeup for Mallory in particular and Haurchefants scar mod not pictured) and files themselves for discontinued mods that I had updated I can sent if need be too!

An Ishgardian orphan, born to a sickly mother, who passed when she was but 5 years old, and A knight who perished in the dragonsong war attacks when she was 9. The church would leave her to her demise letting her rot in the brume unless she would join the church, she simply chose to leave and make her way through Coerthas Western Highlands to the Dravanian forelands. She would collapse before making it to civilization and some chocobo hunters would find her and nurse her back to health, for a price of course. She was from a young age incredibly magic inclined, and awoken her Echo shortly after coming to Tailfeather. She often helped the chocobo hunters and familiarizing herself with the dragons, who despite her teachings growing up were at worst passive to her. Eventually learning the lay of the lands, would befriend the moogles often playing with them and assisting with their "chores" and act as a mercenary and escort for the entire region and mediator for the regions various tribes. She only did what was in her best interest outside of with the moogles. Living in Tailfeather she learned that everything even your life and death was an exchange. So she treated every single interaction with most beings as an exchange. Never doing more then what was in her best interest or enjoyment. If it looked like she was going to be detained/harmed she would immediately pull out. The only "moral" fights she truly involved herself in were ones that would be direct attacks on the Holy See, simply because of how she was forced to survive this way while the nobles pranced about in luxury. Of course she never let her resentment get in the way of her survival, she wouldn't do all of this to survive only to get executed because she got too greedy on exacting vengence. She would often enough join Ysayle on her excursions only to vanish the moment the tide shifts against them. If she wasn't such a valuable asset for her magic combat alone and her connections to valuable intel, Ysayle would not even attempt to hire her. Ysayle knows the depth of her hatred of that place, and hoped maybe one day she would choose revenge over her survival and maybe that she would be able to have both. Aurelie only took jobs from Ysayle she knew would be an annoying kneecap intentionally to the nobles but had low risk and of course would supply information on supply movements at the right cost.

She was there when Mallory and Lalahee made their way to Tailfeather. It was the talk if the outpost, and of course she had heard their purpose for being there already. It intrigued her to see mortal enemies together in such a manner, even more so that one of those tiny beings had the claim to "Warrior of Light."

Aurelie would converse with Moglin to temporarily stall and test the mettle of this "savior". He would agree on the condition she visited the moogles more often as they missed seeing her. The only place she felt secure and like there was no true debt to owe was there so she agreed, and left to follow Mallory just in time for her fight with Ravana. Aurelie jumped into the fight and assisted in taking down the Primal.

She would join Mallory on her journey much to the rebuke of Ysayle and Estinien. Mallory saw no reasonable reason to discourage her as she was offering escort for free, the exchange simply be so she could see what she would be able to accomplish, shes simply curious is all as far as Mallory could tell. Of course Aurelie just wanted to see if she would crack under the pressure, if her good nature could withstand the immense responsibility or if she would too become bitter as Aurelie had. Maybe she was just Naive but Aurelie wanted to watch this absolutely trainwreck either way. Maybe she would be pleasantly surprised but either way this was the most interesting person to waltz into her territory and she wouldn't pass up the chance to experience such an anomaly upclose.

She often mocked both Lalahee and Mallory's small stature and their "I'll save anyone I can complex" mostly due to her bitterness that nobody had helped her out of the goodness of their heart. These idiots are just going around doing heroic tasks without collateral, which also made it more difficult for her survival in the area and frankly it was frustrating. She spent almost the entire journey openly mocking Mallory for her "do gooder" tendencies making her profession bankrupt as a result.

She had finally tapped into Mallory's echo after the Vault, only then did she understand she was not actually inexperienced, but rather she was rather accustomed to loss. She also realized how clumsy at comforting someone she is in that period of time. They were simply different, Mallory hadn't hardened herself to the pain of others betrayals, she would offer a hand to try and correct those misdoings instead every single time she could, so Aurelie had decided then and there to continue to assist her through the chase, she had her own score to settle with Thordan, naturally too.

She helps officially end the Dragonsong war and decides she rather enjoys the company, and joins Mallory's ragtag group, shockingly without any other reason then she knew whatever side Mallory would be on she would overcome and win and maybe it was the right thing to do, this is what Hydaelyn gave her the Echo for. She still would poke and prod at the innocence of her companions and made it a trip activity to engage in triple triad so the girls would learn how to not get swindled.

Her story of course will continue on, so I hope you enjoy.

She was my second to last OC made depsite being an early expansion character.

Shes also my alternate warrior of light.

She is 27 at the start of HW and is 31 at the time of DT.

She is chaotic neutral aligned.

She is my Magic DPS specialist moving between Black mage and Red Mage.

Shes my favorite designed out of all my WOL party outside of maybe Faustina but its really close.

She is Aromantic/Pansexual, as a result i dont ship her with anyone persay- but I do headcanon she would probably attempt to have a casual fling with Estinien.

And yes she does think shes the main character.

Actually it's super sad because they got removed off of XMA when DT like nuked all the textures, a friend fixed them for me so I'll link them on drive :3 the Blue one is for the Eos model and Orange which is the one I use is for the Selene model! All credits of will go to Metamerism the original creator ofc hehehehe.
