Didn’t some of the og Naruto fans started to shipping Borusumi?

Yeah, OG NH fans mostly, but other fandoms were on board too.

As for Sumire fans shipping KawaSumi…the truth of the matter is, alot of these ppl arent the fans they claim they are, their like alot of the new gen SS fans, which is essentially non fans at all but just getting on board with the winning team, or in this case, what they ASSUME will be the winning team, so their only ‘fans’ of winning, not the ship itself, but just having bragging rights.

Now thats not to say all KawaSumi fans are fakes, obviously theres genuine ones as well so my statement doesnt apply to them, so if the shoe dont fit then dont take offense.

Then theres the matter of alot of ksu fans arent even really ksu fans, their bsa fans pretending to be ksu to keep their real ship safe, and this was made very apparent from how their events flopped and how little fanart they have compared to bsa.

You do the math, if ksu is as big and as popular as they claim then why their events didnt do well? Why wasnt there tons of content? Especially from their supposed sister ship bsa? Where were they when they needed content and support? Same with fanart in general, sure they have some, but it pales in comparison to bsa which again, if thats your sister ship then why yall aint feedin em like that? And if ksu is so popular with so many fans, why dont they just have loads of fanart from all the fans of their super popular ship?

This is the giveaway, bsa fans COULD contribute and make ksu actually seem as popular as they claim, but they dont really give a danm and it shows, and since bsa dont really contribute, if ksu REALLY had so many fans and were so popular and it WASNT mostly bsa fans playin keep away, then why dont they have more? Ksu literally does no better than ksa, it only seems like it does because they have bsa, a massive ship backing them up, while Ksa is consistently bullied and scared off by both of them.

Anyway so getting to Sumire fans, the short answer is the same for the ship, alot of her ‘fans’ arent really her fans, its all about who or what they think is the winning side, they see Sumire is relevant and constantly included in the plot, they see her love for Boruto as ‘unrequited’ and doomed to fail, so they gravitate towards KawaSumi because they think THATS gonna be the winning team.

Again, this isnt me saying all Sumire fans are fake either, just saying the ksu ones in particular who talk down about BoruSumi while pushing for a ship where they literally dont interact at all on a personal level, they barely talk to eachother, they dont have a bond, Sumire is scared of him now, and Kawaki could care less about her and just sees her as Amado’s assistant and quite literally ignores her most of the time shes in the same room.

Kawaki know’s she likes Boruto and DOES NOT CARE, and Sumire has zero interest in Kawaki, hell she’s literally watched Amado do sus shet to him and did nothing to intervene, then when he knocks Kawaki out she literally HELPS him move his body.

Thats not a dig at Sumire, thats just the facts of just how ‘close’ they are and how much she ‘cares’ about him.

The same issue BoruSara has is the same issue KawaSumi has ironically, which is there is nothing special specifically between THEM that doesnt exist with anyone else.

For example, Boruto cares about all his friends and ppl in general, so protecting and saving ppl in danger is not Sarada exclusive, replace her with a random NPC, like lets say Kobu recently, Boruto will swoop in just as fast to save them.

Thats not special or unique to just them, anything Boruto does for Sarada you can replace her with anyone else and he’d do the same.

Same applies to KawaSumi, there is NOTHING special or unique to them, put anyone in Kawaki’s place under her care and Sumire would be just as friendly and empathetic, put literally anyone in Sumire’s position as Kawaki’s caretaker and he’d show the exact same indifference, if Sumire noticed Amado acting suspicious towards anyone in Kawaki’s place she’d response the exact same way trying to figure out what he’s up to.

Theres nothing special, nothing unique, nothing JUST for them that doesnt exist with anyone else, you can replace Sumire in the dynamic, or Kawaki in the dynamic, and NOTHING would change.

But these so called ‘fans’ support the ship as supposed ‘fans’ of Sumire, why? The answer I’ve seen the most is that ‘their the obvious endgame, BoruSara is mutual so Sumire has to give up her feelings eventually cuz Boruto doesnt love her back and she deserves to be with someone who does, aka Kawaki’

Which is complete bull and just tells you all you need to know right there, point proven.

Its not about them being ‘fans’, its about being on the winning team, they dont actually care about the character OR the ship, they only care that BoruSumi doesnt seem like its going to happen in their eyes so their latching onto the ship they think will so they can go ‘we won, we’re canon’ when canon day comes.

So again, if the shoe doesnt fit then this doesnt apply to you, but if you see a Sumire fan who likes ksu and their reasoning is the one I mentioned, chances are their not really fans, and therefore shouldnt be taken seriously.

I thought that school girl type of look was when she was the class rep in the academy days. I think it would’ve made sense if she was out of that as she’s letting go of the class rep title.

I wouldn’t be surprised if ikemoto takes this idea into consideration since he does this to all fan theories/ideas.

Not a bad theory, but I figured that was just Sumire’s own unique style, she’s the only one who has a ‘school girl’ look which makes her stand out from the rest of the cast, ESPECIALLY now that pretty much almost everyone is dressed in a mostly black edgy/punk/rebel look, with only the side characters actually having bigger splash of colors, one of which being Sumire with her mostly purple dress, Hima with her bright yellow shirt and blue pants, Chocho with her white yellow and pink combo, Inojin with his purple yellow and tan combo, so on and so forth.

So altho I agree that her changing styles could and would show her growth and distance herself from the class rep model, if she joined everyone else with a more edgy/punk/rebel look thats mostly black with a small splash of color then she’ll just look ununique and bland just like they do.

Sarada wearing Boruto’s brand jacket isnt unique, she’s just discount Boruto with glasses wearin a jacket that doesnt fit her and a booty short onesie, a trait that all girls with shorts have. Sure her original style was similar to Sakura but that was the point, to show their bond and similarities despite her having most of Sasuke’s features, she shares her mothers personality and style with a blend of Sasuke, thats what made it unique, her design showed her bond with her mother and how she’s a blend of her parents.

Mitsuki lost his Orochimaru look and just wears something unrecognizable to him, its majority black with very minor splashes of blue, despite his color pallet always having been blue, light blue, and white.

Boruto lost his originality that was showcased in the movie, how his clothes were more clean and neatly put together compared to Naruto’s, whereas Naruto had orange as his main primary color, Boruto had black as his primary color while pink was the secondary color on his inner jacket, this is ruined in TBV by having him dress almost identical to Sasuke with only minor differences and even wearing his cloak identical to Sasuke’s, whats worse is the CORE part of Boruto’s design was that his clothes were neater and well put together than Naruto’s, but in TBV he has a slopily partially opened shirt, rolled up sleeves, and unbuttoned cuffs of his undershirt, the complete OPPOSITE of how Boruto is known to dress that distinguished him from Naruto.

Now you could argue ‘well he developed out of that’ but thats bull, his development wasnt that he no longer cared about neat clothes, just that he wouldnt be overly concerned about his clothes getting dirty when training, and if his clothes got damaged, he’d be ok with it as long as it was still functional.

Nowhere does Boruto ever convey that he’s ok wearing his clothes sloppy, even Sasuke despite traveling all the time still wore his clothes neat, so even the argument of him emulating Sasuke doesnt work because Sasuke doesnt wear his clothes sloppy.

And if you argue its part of his development, that after being homeless and on the run all these years he just doesnt care anymore, then tell me, wtf distinguishes him from Kawaki anymore? Even his hair, now HE has an undercut too, so what exactly distinguishes him from Kawaki if this is the case? He developed into a guy who doesnt care about the clothes he wears or how damaged or sloppy they are and gave himself a undercut, ironically a blonde undercut just like Kawaki’s, so whats the difference? What stands out as ‘Boruto’ specific? His little metal trinkets? Bffr.

Nobody takes her seriously as a Leader, She relies on Boruto for almost everything, she’s gotten more people killed than actually helped, and she’s going blind and nobody’s doing anything to stop her or try to fix it

It already will, and this is after she literally said ‘I wont let you have your way in Konoha, as a ninja who aims to be Hokage’ and yet ALOOOOOTTA ppl have been havin their way in Konoha under her watch, the village even gets destroyed in the future, but this is our future Hokage right?

If this is what happens while she isnt Hokage yet, god help them for when and if she is cuz she hasnt prevented shet, the ONLY thing you can say she actually prevented was Boruto being killed, and even then it took Sumire telling her to do something for her to do it, otherwise she was just gonna sit there crying while he’s being hunted down.

She hasnt prevented anything since, Yodo had to DIE first before she saved the others, and she wasnt even gonna do that until Yodo told her to use her power only for Boruto, because fighting for her comrades who were there and literally about to die wasnt enough motivation for her.

So Konoha is fked in her hands, if it doesnt have anything to do with Boruto she will quite literally do nothing, she has zero motivation to act on anything that doesnt have to do with him.

If she simply wanted to be Boruto’s wife then thats fine, go for it, but she doesnt, she wants to be Hokage, yet her only priority and motivation is Boruto.

Naruto knew how to multi task, THATS why he was worthy to be Hokage, Sarada does not, she genuinely believed, in her own words, that she needed to choose one or the other, either fight for just the greater good or just for Boruto, when she fought for just the greater good apparently that was holding her back and not enough motivation for her, so now she fights just for Boruto and thats what motivates her more and unleashes her full power.

So for Sarada she cannot multi task, she thinks she needs to do one or the other, and shes mentally incapable of being able to do both which is honestly concerning, especially when you consider the recent plan she’s going along with.

Boruto tells her to be bait, to let herself be kidnapped, and she made ZERO objections to it, which is a prime example of just how short sighted and tunnel visioned she is.

She’s only banking on Boruto saving her cuz thats what Boruto told her, he never said he was getting backup, he never said he was getting help, he didnt even say he had a backup plan, she agrees to this plan betting entirely on Boruto coming to save her.

She’s not thinking of if he fails, if something goes wrong, she’s not thinking about other ppl getting involved potentially cuz she doesnt even ask, so even if Boruto DIDNT mention getting others, he never said he WOULDNT get others either, so she doesnt even care about potentially putting someone else in harms way trying to save her.

She just has a one track mind, no regard for other possibilities, no consideration of others getting involved, even if Boruto doesnt bring anyone, what happens if he fails to save her and has to retreat and leave her behind? What if he has to get reinforcements? Thats more ppl put in danger all to try and save HER from a situation she didnt question at all because her only thought was Boruto will save her.

I know Naruto is reckless and careless too, but even he wouldnt jump into this plan without questioning anything about it, and even he considered other possibilities, he always had the potential risks to others in mind, and even if he knew he would be rescued, he never WANTED to be in a situation that he needed saving to begin with, but wanted to save himself and protect others.

Sarada accepts this like its nothing, she has no pride, no consideration, its just ‘Boruto’s got me’ and thats it, thats as far as she thought and its concerning.

Imagine a Hokage making this type of decision on a whim, ‘let yourself be taken’ and she just does it, the leader of the village willingly abandons it for a reckless plan that puts her life at risk. That is terrible Hokage behavior, obviously Hokage’s risk their lives for the village, but they dont carelessly throw their lives away in situations where nobody benefits.

Minato dying stopped Obito, Hashirama dying stopped Madara, Tobirama dying protected Konoha, Hiruzen dying stopped Orochimaru’s plan and severely weakened him.

Sarada’s stupid actions doesnt help anyone, it just leaves them in a more vulnerable position without her to do anything about it, but also now puts everyone else at risk that goes after her, risking their lives to save hers when they didnt have to if she didnt allow herself to be in that position to begin with.

This reminds me of people blaming Sumire for Yodo's death because she "distracted Sarada" by having that conversation with her. This fandom will do anything but hold Boruto and Sarada accountable 💀

Tbh they need to thank Sumire because it was that convo that had Sarada being conflicted and Yodo noticing it and telling her to stop holding back.

If Sumire never called Sarada out, would Yodo have still noticed what was wrong with Sarada? Because Sarada had no doubt in her mind that everything she was doing was right, she never doubted herself, never thought about how she acted, so for the entire mission Sarada would’ve been focused and actin her usual self, so would Yodo have still made the same assessment if Sarada didnt have those doubts weighing on her mind?

We’ll never know, but my bet is no, the last thing that happened before Yodo died was Sarada saying she wont sell out a friend, not that she knew anything to sell out to begin with, and she immediately remembers Sumire’s words, thats when Yodo is like ‘I get it now’ and then offers herself to Ryu, gets killed, and then she says she can ‘hear clearly’ now what Sarada is feeling and holding back.

So if Sumire never said anything, kept quiet, let Sarada continue being reckless and selfish, would Yodo have still been able to tell what Sarada’s problem was and push her? I really dont think so.

It was because of the doubts Sumire gave her that made Sarada start self reflecting, and it was due to that self reflection that Yodo noticed what was holding her back that she was refusing to face.

But of course they’d never acknowledge anything Sumire helped make happen, they still wont acknowledge it was only cuz of her that Sarada even bothered to get up and try to help Boruto, so of course they wouldnt credit Sumire here either.

I always get heat when I touch on this topic but I cant help that this is just an objective fact, but before I say it let me just use Minato for an example so it is ABUNDANTLY CLEAR what I mean.

Minato has the title ‘Yellow flash’, why? Because of his speed and blonde hair, aka his defining color is yellow, and he moves in a flash, therefore ‘Yellow flash’

Get it? Got it? Good, now heres where ppl are gonna get pissed off.

None of those titles mean anything, because nothing really came from any of them, their not something acknowledged by multiple ppl in the verse, or notable ppl in the verse, they are just titles given by a specific person for a specific reason, but they are not something on the same level as ‘Yellow flash’ or ‘White fang’ where ppl KNOW who you talkin about when you say them because those titles have weight.

‘Byakugan princess’ was something only ever brought up in The Last and it was by Toneri and Hamura I think? But mainly by Toneri.

My point is it was just a title given by a specific person on one specific occasion, but ‘Byakugan Princess’ just because of her relation to Hamura through the Hyuga clan is the same as calling Sasuke ‘Sharingan Prince’ because of his relationship to Indra through the Uchiha clan and being his reincarnate, its more of an observation than a title with any real weight like ‘yeah that person right theres a big deal’

Its already a known fact by now that the Shenju/Uzumaki, Uchiha, and Hyuga are descendants of Otsutsuki, Indra, Ashura, and Hamura specifically, so ‘Byakugan princess’ is just a fancy way of saying she’s connected to Hamura, which isnt news nor anything outstanding considering Hamura’s relevance only BEGINS and ENDS in the movie.

Blame Kishimoto not me for the neglect of the Hyuga clan, even in Boruto which supposedly was gonna focus more on that side since Naruto focused more on the Uchiha, was a downright lie, the focus is entirely on 3 completely unrelated Otsutsuki to Hamura.

Momoshiki, Isshiki, and Shibai.

Hamura is irrelevant, and so is the Hyuga clan, Himawari DIDNT go to live with her Hyuga family, NOR does she use her Byakugan OR Hyuga techniques and instead relies entirely on Kurama as her only source of power.

And Boruto? Literally Sasuke 2.0 with his dads Rasengan, grandpas flying raijin, and even his Byakugan is simply Momoshiki’s power, nothing to do with the Hyuga or Hamura, and Boruto hasnt used gentle fist since the movie.

Again, this is not me being mean here, these are just the facts, if the whole plot of The Last was gonna be used for set up in the sequel to make the Hyuga/Hamura connection more prevelent then that would’ve been great and given weight to all that supposed ‘importance’ Hinata had in the movie, the anime during the time Kodachi was writing even set the expectation that we WERE gonna get follow up on that with Boruto’s Jougan being related to Toneri.

So here you have Hinata’s son, Boruto, awakening a whole new Dojutsu, the Jougan, and its connected to TONERI, the one who gave Hinata the title ‘Byakugan princess’ and now he also gives Boruto a new title, the ‘Star of Hope’

Surely we’re goin places with that right? Surely this is gonna be the start of a Hyuga arc right?

Now I will be fair! Let me be very fair ok and say we dont know whether or not Kodachi was gonna follow up and go deeper into that if he kept writing, we’ll never know so I will be fair and say Kodachi MAY have followed up on that if he stuck around, but we’ll never know.

However, under Ikemoto’s watch, no, it absolutely went nowhere, if anything he completely retconned every single pinch of Hyuga relevance that was being set up.

The Jougan? Not ONCE shown or mentioned in the manga

Like I said neither Boruto nor Himawari use ANY Hyuga techniques

The star of hope title? Never mentioned once in the manga

Toneri? Non existent in the manga

So yea, being fair, MAYBE Kodachi WOULD have given Hinata’s title some weight, but the fact of the matter is we’ll never know, but we DO know that Ikemoto 100% didnt, so if you wanna blame anyone for that, then blame him.

So yea that title is essentially meaningless, its more of a nickname than a title, so Boruto being a ‘prince’ is just as meaningless cuz again, it has no weight or relevance to anyone other than Toneri who says it.

Boruto’s title as the ‘Young Lord’ by Katasuke has more weight because he is the Hokage’s son, Naruto’s son, the son of the savior of the world, the one who united all the villages and brought ‘peace’ to the world.

That has weight because of who he’s connected to, someone thats very relevant , a huge historical figure with insane accomplishments.

Again, this is no fault of mine, but the Hyuga really just arent that relevant, and Hinata hasnt done anything super impressive that ppl still talk about or revere her for, her relevance comes from her status as heiress which is irrelevant because the Hyuga is irrelevant, its like Naruto being the default head of the Uzumaki clan, who cares? The clan is scattered and their home village is destroyed and their irrelevant to the story.

The same is true unfortunately for Hinata, and just to show Im being fair, the same applies to Sasuke as the default head of the Uchiha clan, who cares? The Uchiha clan is irrelevant in the sequels story as well, it shouldnt be due to Sarada but the same applies to Boruto and Himawari, the Hyuga SHOULDNT be irrelevant considering their connection to them but thats just the sequel we’ve been dealt.

So Im not being mean, Im just being honest, Hinata’s only relevance comes from her status and relation to her clan, which is irrelevant in the sequel entirely, so Boruto’s relation through her is also irrelevant.

Again, if you wanna blame someone for that then blame Ikemoto, he quite literally had so many opportunities to delve more into the Hyuga and he just didnt, hell he didnt even have to do anything himself, he could’ve just BUILT off what the anime and Kodachi had already laid the groundwork for and just expand on it but nope, he just dropped it entirely.

So add this to the list of things to hate Ikemoto for, I dunno why this isnt a bigger complaint towards him tbh considering Hinata’s huge fanbase, you’d think they’d get on his ass for just completely erasing pretty much all relevance they could’ve had in this sequel and replacing it with just the random Otsutsuki and 10 tails show and replacing ‘Hashirama cells’ with ‘Shibai dna’ and pretending this is a better or more interesting story in the slightest.

You would’ve thought that the complaints about the ending of Naruto being too much about aliens would’ve made them pull away from the Otsutsuki plot and focus more on the human conflicts again but nope, instead they doubled, tripled, and quadrupled down on it and its severely hurt the series tbh.

But anyway to answer your question yes, those titles are basically nicknames moreso than titles that have actual weight, their just names that certain ppl called her, not titles that hold any sense of respect or reverence by the masses.

Thats a problem I’ve always had with Hinata’s character tbh, I get she’s a side character but her entire character arc was her being the ‘black sheep’ of the family because of her being weak and soft despite being the heiress of the main branch, her goal was to change and improve herself after being inspired by Naruto, to prove her family wrong, to show you can be soft AND strong, so I thought even if she didnt have a ton of accomplishments, she’d atleast have ONE to really show how far she’s come and how she earned ppls respect who previously looked down on her because of her meek personality.

This isnt a dig at her character, but at her writing, its a shame fr, especially when the sequel had a chance to fix that but nah she was just shoved aside as the worried mom her husband excluded from virtually all family matters and then she gets thrown to the shadow realm, and neither of her kids use any of the fighting techniques they learned from her which yes, the novels says she trained them, so thats all the more reason why there should be more outrage over this because how is Minato getting rep when he’s the grandfather but not Hinata?

Boruto and Hima literally take after their grandparents on their FATHERS side [Minato and Kushina] but nothing from Hinata? Thats crazy.

Ikemoto doesnt get enough hate for his writing decisions, he really doesnt, thats how you know this fandom is full of mostly shippers atp who dont actually care about character or story writing that much because something like this would be a way bigger deal than it is now if the ppl who actually gave a danm were the majority.

Sorry for the tangent, talking about this just made me realize yet another gripe I have with Ikemoto.

And if the excuse is ‘he’ll let the anime handle it’ then I dunno how to break it to you but that is NOT a good thing, we should not have to watch the anime to get the ‘full story’ we should already HAVE the full story in the manga, this shit is monthly not weekly, so Ikemoto has no excuse not to have the full story when he doesnt even have a weekly schedule, he has a whole 40 pages every chapter and he cant tell the complete story in 40 pages? He needs a 20 minute episode to do it for him? Foh man.

He’s not ‘letting the anime handle it’ he’s literally being lazy and putting the burden of effort on the anime team to fill in the blanks he cant be bothered to himself, and if the manga deviates from that, or doesnt reference it at all, like it very often has already, then your just left in limbo to wonder well is what the anime showed really canon to the manga or not?

Oh god your right ._. Imagine that…we FINALLY have an arc/scenario where there will FINALLY be stakes thanks to KK not being involved, meaning we’ll finally ACTUALLY be surprised and in suspense the entire time instead of knowing everything before it happens, characters will actually be stressed and scared not having a crutch, but have to figure everything out in real time, make their own plans, make their own decisions, and LIVE with those decisions if they fail miserably, suffer irreversible consequences because they didnt have the foresight to prevent it.

Finally, a real arc, with real stakes, real lasting consequences, finally Ikemoto has got the message that KK’s future sight makes the story boring, predictable, and unengaging and has taken the first step in correcting that and allowing for this arc to actually be blind and full of unforeseen events.

Their gonna blame Kawaki when the plan goes south because he took out KK, and in your case, their gonna blame Sumire also for the sword situation because she didnt register Sarada.

Despite Kawaki and Sumire being completely innocent in this case because KK TOLD him from the start to just kill Code, he chose not to, he CHOSE to instead of protect Sarada and prepare her to defend herself from Code, he CHOSE to make a plan to use her as BAIT instead and told her to LET herself be taken.

Then theres the sword, Sumire TOLD him that she registered him, Sasuke, and herself as ppl who could touch the sword, and Boruto DIDNT OBJECT or ASK her to register Sarada also.

But of course, Kawaki and Sumire will get the blame regardless, despite Boruto being the one who could’ve prevented both bad things from happening to Sarada, he CHOSE not to do it.

But besides ppl being annoying about that, I think it’d actually be funny cuz her just bein knocked unconscious for every major conflict is becoming a running gag like Krillin and Yamcha constantly dying.

Sarada is being consistently written so bad that I wouldnt be surprised if she actually eventually gets her own infamous Yamcha death pose moment, possibly in this very arc.

Oh yeah this is definitely gonna go horribly wrong, 10 billion %.

And the fact that Boruto doesnt have ANY backup plan says its gonna be even worse, because it isnt like the sand mission situation where he didnt trust KK and went behind his back and recruited Kawaki as a fail safe, he did this because he didnt trust KK.

But right now he DOES trust him, so he felt no need to do any thinking of his own cuz to him, KK will get an update soon, so its safe to use Sarada as bait since KK will get new visions soon and see how that plays out, and then Boruto can know exactly how to get her out safely from there.

Thats the only way his 'dont lose hope' makes sense, he can say that because he knows he has KK to rely on, so her 'not losing hope' is him basically saying 'dont panic cuz with KKs future sight I'll definitely get you out safe and sound so theres no need to worry, I'll know everything that happens before it happens'

This is why I hate this Kawaki plot, because all the blame is gonna be put on him for things going bad instead of Boruto for being complacent.

Even if he has KK, for him to not make ANY plan Bs just in case things dont go according to plan is hella careless, especially since Boruto has already just seen how bad that can be when they fought Mamushi.

KK wasnt saying anything, and things are so desperate he's asking Shikamaru what they should do, who also isnt saying anything.

Boruto has already SEEN what lack of a plan B, or any help from KK OR Shikamaru leads to, danm near total defeat.

So for Boruto to not be wise enough to NOT put all his chips into KKs basket is just plain careless, ESPECIALLY when he's putting his childhood friend, and who many believe is his love interest, life in danger, it is absolutely insane for him to put his friend, let alone someone he supposedly loves according to this fandom, in THAT kind of danger and NOT have more of a plan than just relying on KKs future sight.

So with KK kidnapped and Boruto on his own, what now? Sarada gets snatched up, he doesnt have KK to tell him how its gonna go down, so what? he just gonna wing it now? and hows he gonna do that? even if he takes out Code and Hidari, Jura is still one problem he cant defeat, so whats the plan?

is it just to find the hideout? mark it? and then just flee with Sarada? and he's gonna do that with two pissed off enemies who can just randomly pop out of belts from anywhere at anytime? gonna be hard to avoid them long enough to prepare an escape route.

Jura alone can overwhelm Boruto, and Sarada is easy work for Code and Hidari, their belts alone make her MS power useless, and if they summon a buncha claw grime to divert her attention to them and lower her chakra then its GGs.

And none of these scenarios are things Boruto has considered being prepared for WITHOUT KKS future vision, he is totally dependent on KKs futures rather than his own knowledge from his own experiences.

So yea, Boruto has no one but himself to blame for whats about to happen, HE is the one who ignored KKs warning to just take Code out now, which yes is in character for Boruto not to wanna kill anyone, especially if KK is telling him there IS a SMALL chance he could be convinced over to his side, it is 100% in character for Boruto to wanna try and go for THAT route instead of just killing him.

But in character or not, him carelessly letting Code get away is what has Sarada being targetted now, so you would think since HE took that risk, that HE would come up with a safety net plan for whats about to happen next.

But instead, he tells her to let herself be taken, which ok fine if he had a plan for how to make sure she's safe, but he doesnt, he's putting it all on KK to figure out because he literally offers nothing for if things go south.

This...this is so disrespectful fr

Imagine Minato told Kushina to put herself in harms way and just had no plan on what to do if anything went wrong, he just told her to not lose hope 😭 bruh Minato was on THIS type of timing over Kushina

I bring up Minato because 1 ppl often compare Boruto to him ALOT claiming their alike, and 2 ppl claim Boruto already loves Sarada, so by their logic [not mine] its fair to compare them since Minato loved Kushina, and Boruto apparently loves Sarada according to them, then you cannot tell me this isnt night and day for two ppl who again, according to them, have the same feelings.

It just dont add up.

Now shipping aside, this dont even make sense from even a friends standpoint, its just insanely careless to gamble everything on just ONE person when Boruto has already been in a position where two ppl he counted on to come up with a way out, both went silent on him.

So for him to set himself up to be completely helpless again when things go unexpectedly, is just careless.

And atp, I'll make a separate post for this later but I'll add it here for this point, but we really need to stop taking Boruto's promises seriously because this is the second promise he's made about protecting her and immediately broken it when something that mattered more to him came up.

If Ikemoto is trying to make Boruto different than Naruto, then this isnt a good way to do it, it makes Boruto look unreliable and untrustworthy at his word, trying to make him different from Naruto as someone who DOESNT keep his promises or forgets them on a whim, is not a good look for Boruto even if its just to try and make him 'different' than his dad.

But I dont even think its that, I dont think this is an intentional character distinction Ikemoto is doing, I think he just needs Boruto to be reckless for the plot and this is how he went about it.

Regardless of Ikemoto's reasoning tho, its now canon that Boruto does not keep his promises, atleast not the ones he makes about protecting her, cuz in a choice between putting her in harms way to save Sasuke faster, or keeping her safe like Sasuke requested, he chose saving Sasuke faster.

I say this because Boruto only got this impatient and reckless after seeing Bug evaporate when his thorn soul rotted and KK told him to burn that image into his mind, so it probably made Boruto more in a hurry to save Sasuke now before the same happens to him, hence why the risky plan to find their base.

Even this chapter she is literally merely a follower following Boruto to the tree and about to just go along with his plan.

When will she actually make a plan or take charge and lead?

The last time Sarada showed any leadership, or specifically tried to, was in chapter 58 where she reminded them that she is the ‘captain’ of their team, but she was 1 completely ignored, and 2 completely undermined by Boruto taking charge and telling her to stand back, and she, like an obedient dog, allows him to just undermine her authority and take over getting her team in line instead of her.

Thats the last time she ever even just attempted to have some type of leadership, and she let herself be undermined and overruled by Boruto.

Since then she has consistently continued that pattern of letting Boruto undermine her thoughts and feelings, take complete control, tell her what to do, and she just does it like a trained dog following their masters orders.

I use the dog analogy because thats literally what she acts like, if Boruto says jump she’ll ask how high, if Boruto says stand back this is MY fight now she wont object or tell him to back off she can fight her own battles, if Boruto literally tells her to LET herself be kidnapped she’ll agree without complaint cuz master said so.

This is how a dog or a servant behaves, not a human being with any self respect and mind of their own.

This is why you know if Boruto wanted the Hokage role, he’d get it without question, and if Boruto told Sarada he wanted to be Hokage, I have no doubt in my mind she’d abandon her own dream to let Boruto have the title instead.

‘But Kushina-‘ Kushina wanted to be Hokage out of spite, it wasnt a serious dream of hers so her giving it up to Minato who actually WAS serious about the role wasnt unusual, Sarada giving it up is because she WAS serious about the role, but I have every reason to believe if Boruto wanted to be Hokage too, she’d let him have it without hesitation.

58 literally was the last ounce of leadership she’s ever tried to have, there are 115 chapters in total right now, it’s absolutely abysmal that she hasnt taken the lead, or tried to, at any point since chapter 58 of PART ONE

We are on PART TWO literally 3 years later, we are 35 chapters in, and she hasnt stepped up a single time for anything.

She’s abandoned her team, her and Mitsuki dont even talk or interact like that, she’s completely cut Kawaki off altogether, she cut all her friends off, she has no interest in being a leader or acting like a Hokage who treats everyone in the village as family, but she has completely ABANDONED her family because of one danm guy.

This is fine if she didnt want to be Hokage, she wannt be selfish and Boruto centric? Thats fine, go head, but if she wants to be a Hokage LIKE NARUTO then she doesnt GET to be selfish, she doesnt get to be Boruto centric, because a Hokage LIKE NARUTO is there for EVERYBODY.

There were plenty of ppl in the village who vehemently disagreed with Naruto about Sasuke, said he was a lost cause and needed to die and Naruto should give up on him, know what Naruto did? Ignored them, stood by him anyway, and if those ppl who strongly disagreed with him were in danger, hurt, needed saving, know what he did? He was still there for them, he still helped them, he still protected them, he still empathized with them.

Because being a Hokage is not about AGREEING with everyone on everything, you dont have to like everything someone thinks or feels, but regardless, your still supposed to make an effort for those ppl, your still supposed to CARE about those ppl and fight for them as well, to reach out and try to have an understanding.

Naruto was able to fight for Sasuke AND maintain all his bonds and friendships, to still connect with the villagers and his enemies.

Sarada just cut everyone off, she had no interest in connecting, understanding, not even just reaching out.

If you didnt kiss Boruto’s ass and just have blind faith in him because Sarada says you should then it was literally fk you fars she’s concerned.

Notice how she’s only cool with her mom because she supports and enables her Boruto obsession, notice how her and Chocho only speak again because 1 Chocho cared enough about her to go visit her in the hospital, and 2 Chocho now is on Sarada’s side about Boruto.

If you literally do not side with Boruto Sarada genuinely wont fw you, so her wanting to he a Hokage like Naruto is just downright false atp because she’s nothing like him.

Naruto made an effort to MAKE and KEEP connections with ppl, even villains he made the effort to understand and reach out to, he treated everyone in the village as family.

Sarada cut all ties, has made no connections, no attempts to reach out or understand anyone, and she treats a literally BRAINWASHED VILLAGE like her enemy, as if she doesnt care that these ppl are brainwashed into thinking and feeling how they feel, just that they dont side with Boruto, and because they dont, even if its against their will, their all her enemy.

Sarada was the future and hope of the Uchiha, she was finally gonna achieve a position that the Uchiha clan was always robbed of unfairly.

And she squandered it over a boy obsession who she is the furthest thing from his mind, he’s rather put her life at risk to save SASUKE than to keep his promise to Sasuke to take care of her and prevent her kidnapping.

Boruto has made two promises to protect Sarada and he has broken both of them, the one he made to her on the Hokage mountain? He forgot and literally had to be reminded by Mitsuki, Sasuke asking him to take care of Sarada? He literally lets Code escape so he can use Sarada as bait to find the Shinju hideout, and if things go badly? He has no backup plan and only tells her to just have hope.

She’s all in on a guy who doesnt give any of that same energy back, saving Sasuke is a higher priority than her AND her safety.

Which is crazy cuz I actually thought he took his promise to Sasuke to heart but nah, in a choice between saving Sasuke soon or keeping Sarada safe, he chose saving Sasuke at the risk of her life.

Atleast if her energy was reciprocated MAYBE you could argue her being such an abysmal Hokage candidate is a bit understandable because Boruto is just that good to her and invested in her that he is actually WORTH putting on such a pedestal that even her dream takes a back seat to, I could atleast somewhat be lenient in that case.

But no, all of this is completely one sided, so it doesnt even make sense why her dream would be so unimportant to her in favor of someone who really doesnt treat her like a priority at all, kept no contact with her, avoids her more often than makes an effort to see her, his first and only one on one conversation with her since returning is literally to ASK her to LET herself be kidnaped 😭 and this is who we’re sacrificing seriously pursuing our dream for? Yea ok.

Im done, to answer your question, she’s never going to make a plan or take the lead on anything, she ‘took the lead’ in the Mamushi fight and wasted chakra she didnt have to [worsening her vision] and then over estimated herself, telling Shikamaru she could handle it, only to explode her eye and pass out and leave everyone hanging.

After that did she do any reflection? No, just cries about wanting to help him, did she try to take charge after that? Maybe investigate some things? Come up with some type of plan to find or lure out the Shinju’s? Maybe look into her eyes and how to preserve her vision? Nope, she gets called by Boruto, gets told to let herself be bait, and she just agrees without objection.

So no, expecting her to take the lead and act even remotely like a Hokage atp is like waiting for pigs to grow wings and fly.

Its still insane to me how INOJIN has taken charge, taken the lead, and acted more like a Hokage candidate than the one actually aiming for the role, Inojin has already proven himself more worthy in a single arc than she has in the entire danm manga thus far.

Amado has almost total control over Kawaki. He just dont know it yet. Also, Amado knew Kawaki stopped training once he got Karma back.

Yea it did, which was fine given it was setting up his obsession as getting more out of control [which yes, is portrayed as a bad thing that he needs to change, as it should be] so it was a good turning point to lead towards future development, because obviously theres no room for development if theres no flaws that need working out.

The issue is Ikemoto doesnt do self reflection, introspection, barely any flashbacks, barely any inner dialogue, we dont dive into characters mental states, turmoil, internal struggles, we dont see what their thinking or feeling, its always very rare or just downright nonexistent since Ikemoto has taken over full time.

For this to be the NARUTO sequel of all series to lack that in is insane, considering thats literally all Naruto was and one of its biggest praises, the emotional weight and thoroughly explored characters, even non main characters, were given a decent amount of depth to where you actually felt for them and felt what they felt.

This is the issue with Kawaki, Ikemoto introduced the madness plot, he’s the one who made his obsession become more extreme, so its on HIM to explore that plotline since HE introduced it in the first place.

Its like introducing Sasuke’s hatred for his brother and desire for revenge, and then never exploring that any further.

You can introduce something like that and then NOT elaborate on it, you dont get to just throw something as huge as ‘oh his love for Naruto is actually more like a cult worship like Code felt for Isshiki so its more like madness’ and just leave that hanging.

You cant show Kawaki going as far as he has and just NOT explore what he’s thinking and feeling internally about it all, you dont get to just make a few comments on it, have one short little breakdown to Ada, and then never touch on it again, thats NOT good character writing.

Im not saying you repeat the same things over and over, what I mean is explore the DIFFERENT points of conflict and struggles Kawaki is going through, its not just one thing he’s experiencing and going through, but multiple, so Ikemoto SHOULD be going over those.

So I dont mind Kawaki’s personality shift if it was explored but it wasnt, so rather than coming off as the genuine mental breakdown that it SHOULD be, it just comes off like Kawaki had a random mood swing just because he THINKS Momo is still a threat [he is but Kawaki didnt know that for certain] which is why alot of ppl have the misconceptions of him that they do, because Ikemoto doesnt EXPLORE or EXPAND on anything to give us insight on exactly WHAT Kawaki is thinking and feeling.

If Sasuke just suddenly betrayed Naruto at the VOTE trying to kill him with none of the build up we had to understand just how Sasuke got to that point, he’d just look like a psychopath that only wants to kill Naruto for a power up cuz his brother told him thats how he could get it.

If you dont EXPLORE a characters psychology, then their actions arent gonna make a danm bit of sense, and if you do explore it, but only the bare minimum, then their actions STILL arent going to hit the way you want them to because you didnt take the time and the effort to properly set that all up and just made an abrupt hell turn suddenly with little to no warning.

Now Kawaki is not only having any of the development that was promised, but he is now actively REGRESSING which is insane to me that Ikemoto is really THAT lazy, despite being the one who set the expectation in the first place saying that we’re gonna be seeing Kawaki’s development because Boruto’s already happened, but he’s so danm lazy to make certain plot points happen organically that he’s literally making Kawaki REGRESS just to make it happen.

Because we know Amado has ulterior motives, we know Amado is gonna fk Kawaki over in SOME way, we know he’s not bringing KK in just for a ‘friendly’ conversation, we know Kawaki doesnt trust Amado but guess what? He’s letting himself be completely dependent on him anyway, and we all know that this is gonna have negative consequences down the line.

So Kawaki regressing like this is simply to allow Amado to gain the ‘upper hand’ and seem like this smart super cunning villain, this genius mastermind on the same level as Light Yagami, when really Amado is a straight dumbass who only succeeds because every other character around him is conveniently dumbed down to a single braincell everytime he does something and nobody ever takes any action against him, nor confronts him on it, let alone make any attempts to stop him.

Example, Sumire saw Amado has a shut down Code on Kawaki, so do the intelligence team, is this ever addressed or confronted? No, apparently thats just cool and we moved on like that isnt a massive red flag.

Its just pure laziness, actually delivering on the development Ikemoto promised for Kawaki is more work than than just lazily making him regress and stupidly let Amado have THIS much control over him and NOT foresee the consequences of just how bad this can go.

Logically speaking Sumire SHOULD play a part in stopping this and helping Kawaki, but that would require Ikemoto to actually remember, or just give a danm, about his own plotlines HE set up and actually ADDRESS them and give them PAYOFF.

But thats the thing with Ikemoto, we never know if he’ll actually do that, so even if that SHOULD happen, theres always doubt on whether he’ll actually make it happen, even if he sets the expectations himself, theres no guarantee he’s gonna pay that off if he decides later he just doesnt care, doesnt remember, or is just too lazy to follow up on it so he’ll just pretend it never existed and hope we forgot.

They are the main male and female characters, making them have the most screentime and interactions

Their childhood friends, a popular romance trope but usually in shoujo moreso than shounen

As Sakura’s daughter and Naruto’s son many NaruSaku fans flocked to it because of their similarities and saw them as a second chance at becoming canon through their kids

As Sasuke’s daughter and Naruto’s son, many SNS fans flocked to it because of their similarities and saw them as a second chance of becoming canon through their kids, altho many dislike it for needing to be straight to be canon, they still support it as they see them being endgame as them being validated that SNS would’ve been endgame if they were a straight pairing.

They had no competition in the beginning because they only appeared at the end of the series, making the cast alot more limited than it is in the anime because the Boruto movie was supposed to be THE END until they forced a sequel later, so naturally Sarada and Boruto’s relationship was the most developed and most seen together with only MitsuSara and BoruMitsu as competition, but very little material to work with to really take off.

BoruSara was first introduced and took off in Nov 2014 at the final chapter of Naruto, then in 2015 there was Gaiden and the Boruto movie, the Boruto anime and sequel didnt start until 2017, so BoruSara had over 2 years of no competition and all the promotion/content as the children of the 3 OG main characters [Sasuke, Naruto, Sakura]

There werent many alternative options, even if you wanted to ship other ppl altogether, there wasnt enough or ANY material to really go off of, for example InoHima was initially a crackship based off fan theory and headcanon, but they had absolutely no canon material supporting it prior to the anime, novel, and TBV in the manga. So BoruSara was essentially the only real viable ship with anything to run with.

Eugenics, since SK didnt happen, their trying to see again through BoruSara this time what an Uzumaki and Uchiha baby would be like, their even more invested because of the Hyuuga genes as well. In short, they just wanna see an OP baby.

Many ppl hate Sakura for wanting the ‘bad boy’ and rejecting the nice guy who treated her well, so to them Sarada is ‘better Sakura’ because she actually likes the nice guy who treats her well. In short, alot of ppl feel like the nice guy is entitled to get the girl because hes nice, and if he doesnt, then shes a terrible woman, this is proven by those who say Sakura wouldnt be as bad if she moved on from Sasuke, and that Sarada’s character would be ‘ruined’ if she didnt get with Boruto.

Many ppl cannot distinguish platonic love, closeness, and affection from romantic.

They think Boruto and Sarada are gonna be ‘different’ from Naruto and Sasuke, that somehow Boruto is magically gonna be home and in contact more with his family than Sasuke was, and that Sarada will take more time off from Hokage duties to be present as well, they believe that SOMEHOW their gonna magically control how demanding their jobs are so they can be there for eachother, this is obviously false because as we see, Boruto is acting no different than Sasuke did when he was being the supporting shadow, Boruto keeps just as little contact, and very rarely visits her, so this belief is already proven false but shippers believe it anyway.

They believed Sarada and Boruto blushing at eachother was proof they liked eachother since the movie, thats been confirmed false

They believe Boruto and Sarada already have mutual romantic feelings for eachother that just arent confirmed yet, again this is false

Its become a very clear power fantasy ship that alot of certain kinds of ppl would love to live out, being the cool dark and mysterious lone wolf MC who all the girls wants, the cool ‘bad boy’ being made weak and overshadowed but the cooler, stronger, more handsome, more badass MC, main/best girl [Sarada] wants the MC and only has eyes for him and has completely devoted her entire existence to him and only him and nobody else, she practically worships the ground he walks on. In short, its become the type of ship that lame guys who dont get their dream girl can live vicariously through, and girls who would like to have the super cool etc MC type of guy, but this power fantasy trope typically appeals to the men more than women.

They hate Kishimoto’s endgame ships and they want to feel validated that he ‘regretted’ and ‘learned’ from his mistakes [the ones who believe he’s still involved, he is not] or they wanna brag how Ikemoto is better than Kishimoto so they can say he got it ‘right’. In short, its just about having bragging rights, about winning.

I kid you not, but this weird belief that two homies who are close have kids and since they cant be together they’ll be together through their children…yeah dont ask, its weird and creepy to me too.

They have this weird idea that Boruto and Sarada getting together would ‘unite’ the Uzumaki and Uchiha clans and truly end the feud by merging the families as one, this is beyond stupid tho because 1 the feuds already ended, 2 the Uchiha and Uzumaki were never beefing in the first place, it was the Shenju, but we’ve seen multiple times that the Uzumaki and Uchiha were friends, so this merging of the families as some type of symbolism of unity doesnt make sense, but its one they firmly believe in nonetheless.

Even though Kawaki let Amado manipulate his powers real time but remotely, he also acknowledged Amado as a crazy scientist, so he IS aware of the kind of man he is letting himself be controlled by. The fact he is aware of the shut down code of Koji now that Amado called the code out by name. Just saying there is potential for Kawaki and Sumire to team up to eventually take down Amado.

Sarada is a full on goner, I thought she would disagree with his plans because he would be risking his own life against Jura who sniped him that easily. Its just the two of them. Sarada as bait, and Boruto as her rescuer. Its too risky. And that ominous, "Don't lose hope if things go south, Sarada." She should be yelling at him, asking him what he means by that and then getting the whole risk plan out of him, before agreeing to it.

Hope that Sarada comes to her senses quickly.

Oh no most DEFINITELY, Kawaki definitely still has a chance to be saved, but Sarada’s has been downright 0 for a while now, this chapter just further bangin the nail in the coffin.

I just mean from the LOOKS of it, it seems like Ikemoto is headed towards a very lazy route with Kawaki, which is concerning, but we wont know until we see how things further play out for sure if we’re headed for the worst case scenario.

Sarada tho yeah she’s a lost cause atp, I get Ikemoto trying to play this off as the Naruto and Sasuke blind trust and faith in eachother no matter the risks, but yet again Ikemoto only do these ‘parallels’ in very surface level ways.

Sasuke doesnt just blindly trust Naruto without saying anything, he pushes back and vice versa, they may take risks, but they dont always just blindly go along with it without objection or pointing out how stupid or reckless the plan is, they’ll argue their point, and then the other will reluctantly agree.

Sarada doesnt question Boruto in the slightest, she doesnt object, doesnt say how reckless the plan is, doesnt try to come up with a backup plan if things go south, doesnt ask for some type of fail safe, she literally doesnt go over the plan with him at all and just accepts everything he says.

The old Sarada would NEVER just be this passive bystander for something this reckless, especially something thats risking HER life.

Think about that, how in the FK do you hear him make a plan that puts YOUR life on the line and NOT say shit? You can have faith in someone, and not be fkin stupid, she had every right to be like ‘What!? Are you crazy!? What if something goes wrong! Thats too risky! Cant you come up with something else that DOESNT throw me right into the lions den?’

I genuinely cannot believe this is the same person who back in chapter 16 was talking about how its too dangerous for Boruto to take on those monsters by himself, oh but you can? And Boruto is saying he’s coming after you, did he suddenly become able to fight these monsters by himself now? Oh but you have MS now so surely yall can take him together, didnt you just have to get new prescription glasses because your practically blind already from just your 3rd use? If the Shinju whip out more than 16 claw grime plus the 3 of them [Jura, Hidari, Code] her eyes explodin again.

So everything thats been established for her ‘development’ before now just didnt happen apparently, she acknowledged that the shinju were monsters Boruto couldnt take on by himself, yet now he suddenly can? She has her MS now but shes almost totally blind from only her 3rd use, and she thinks she can handle it? So even after all thats happened she still doesnt understand her own limits?

I cant atp, this is just pure plot convenience, same way KK getting kidnapped was plot convenience because how do you say ‘I havent gotten an update yet’ then proceed to take a risk that you have no idea what it could be, instead of holding off until you got new future visions, why tf would you bring the scroll there? Tell Inojin to hold onto it until he gets new visions since it was obviously a trap set for KK, not Inojin.

Same way Sarada going along with this bs plan is plot convenience, no sane person would let themselves be used as bait for the literal biggest threats their facing right now without being like ‘Are you outta your fkin mind?’ But of course because we gotta 1 give bsa fans their highly demanded 1 on 1 convo, and 2 play on that Sasuke and Naruto nostalgia, we gotta remove all her braincells so they can seem like this confident power duo whos totally got this.
