I want to thank all the gif-makers of tumblr for allowing me to experience all of the best, funniest, hottest, most poignant, most romantic, most intensely heart-tugging moments of shows that I will absolutely never watch.

it’s so true that the greatest weapon against nihilism and existential despair is to find joy in the mundane and never stop chasing after love

everything everywhere all at once is about intergenerational trauma. about depression and passive suicidality and the gravitational appeal of nothingness. about aging, getting older in your twenties and getting older in your fifties. about the specific hurt mothers can cause their daughters and daughters their mothers. about the harsh reality of the immigrant experience and the american dream. but it’s mostly about kindness and family and it’s about choosing to sit at home talking about taxes with someone who loves you, and it’s about telling your daughter that you’d choose her over the entire universe, and it’s about how even in the universes where life didn’t form, love can still exist. and it’s really all of that at once.

Compared to the rest of the galaxy, humans are small, adorable hunters who enjoy breaking things to see what happens, but are still well liked because they take care of minor problems. It turns out humans are not space elves or orcs, but intelligent space cats.

Solution: Full body armor and masks. You don’t see people shipping themselves with Sauron!

Nothing fails to crack me up like this post - the vain hope that somewhere out there is some awful nasty thing that there is not also a person whose kink that is, the idea that covering something up won’t make people obsessed with finding out what it looks like underneath, the surface level understanding of Sauron and complete lack of knowledge of the Silmarillion and it’s fandom, the fact that Sauron was canonically hot as fuck, the amount of Sauron erotica I have seen, God this post never gets old

i’ve seen this pass my dash several times but oh my goodness gracious, the absolute courage of declaring that people would not find someone in full body armor hot. i mean no disrespect when i say that there is an ENTIRE fleet of people who would vehemently disagree with you and in fact would not want the armor to be taken off, ever, because that ruins the character
