Wonder Woman: Batman, we could make good use of Nightwing with this. Would you call him?
Dick, who's filling in for Bruce as Batman: I'll call him
---
Hal: you've gained some muscles
Jason, dressed as Nightwing: I started working out
Hal: Damn. What's the routine cause I just saw you last week and you look completely different.
Jason: steroids
Dick, as batman: *chokes on coffee*
---
Superman: We might need someone who's good with guns, hm... Hey Nightwing you're in contact with redhood, right? Could you have him come?
Jason, as Nightwing: ... I don't see why not
---
Wonder woman: this security is an issue we need someone who can hack this system long enough for us to get pass
Superman: hey hood, any chance you can give red robin a call?
Tim, with 5 inches of padding, as redhood: on it
---
Hal: isn't robin usually with you all?
Flash: yeah we could use him with this one
Superman: Red Robin, would you call in Robin for us?
Damian, in red robin costume: he's dead
The funniest thing is sure, all the batbros are good at everything, but not to the same extent as the ones who use it as their primary.
Superman: Not to be unappreciative, but don't Batman and his sons seem to be a little... off today?
Hal: What do you mean? They seem fine to me, just as weird as normal.
Wonder Woman: No, Superman's right. I have worked with almost all of them closely in the past and while still very capable, their skill sets are not at their typical levels today.
Flash: You think somethings happened that's throwing them off?
Hal: .... Nightwing does seem to be a little more broody and sarcastic today. But Spooky seems more lenient than usual. He wouldn't be like that if something was wrong.
Flash: Maybe he's just happy to have his kids with him and their just messing with him or something then?
Superman: *shakes his head* No, Batmans heart rate is off. It's faster than usual and all the others seem different as well. He might be stressed or anxious. I'm not accustomed enough to the others to pinpoint why theirs are off, but I'd suspect it's a similar reason. Something is definitely wrong.
Hal: Hey! Maybe if we call in the littlest one, y'know the one always with Spooky.
Flash: Robin
Hal: Yeah, maybe if we call in Robin, we can figure this out?
Wonder Woman: That may be a good idea. Perhaps, at the very least, having his youngest here as well might calm Batman down some.
Flash: Yeah! He worries about his kids a lot right? Having them all with him should help!
Hal: Alright then. I'll go ask.
*the last part of ops post happens*
The league: Oh, they're all grieving. That makes sense.
I would think they all know how to imitate Bruce pretty well, including mimicking his heart rate, but they aren't as good at doing the same for each other. So Dick is doing pretty well, except his heart rate is faster because he is actually anxious from all this. The others are trying their best, but struggling. They may have also been messing with each other a little bit at first -see why Jason made that steroid comment- until they realized how deep of a hole they've dug themselves into. I also think they're probably panicking each time one of them has do what the other is good at, especially if they're doing it wrong so then the other tries to help/step in.
Damian: *trying to hack into something and taking a bit longer than Tim would have*
Tim: *getting worried the JL will start getting suspicious* Hey, let me help you there
Damian: *thinking Tim helping will make the JL more suspicious because why would Red Robin need help here, least of all from Red Hood* No, I'm fine.
Tim: *watching Damian get something obvious to him, wrong and becoming more anxious* No, no, it's fine. I can help.
Damian: *gritting his teeth* No, Red Hood. You don't need to, I can handle this. I am the tech guy, you aren't meant to know anything about tech.
Tim: *also gritting his teeth now* Red Robin. It will go faster if we work together, even if you know more than me. Guns probably aren't even that different from circuits, so just let me help.
Damian: *getting frustrated now, raising his voice slightly* No-
Jason, cutting him off: Hey, no arguing.
Damian and Tim: *being confused because Jason never usually stops arguments, just sits back and watches* What?
Jason: I said for you two to stop arguing. Because I'm Nightwing, and I always stop everyone's arguments?
Tim and Damian: Right...
Jason: Now, aren't you meant to be hacking the thingy?
Damian: I was, but Red Hood thinks guns are similar enough to tech and his trying to help and I told him he's wrong-
Tim: You're taking to long!
Jason, cutting them both off: *disgusted expression on his face* Guns aren't like tech
Tim: Oh come on, they can't be THAT different.
Jason: Uh, yeah they are! They're completely different!
Dick, walking over to them: *in the Batman voice* Boys, stop arguing. We have a job to do.
Tim: Yeah well, Red Robin isn't doing the job right!
Damian: Neither are you! You don't know anything about tech!
Jason: *offended* Okay, well he knows a little about tech.
Dick: Boys!
Tim, Damian and Jason: *turn to Dick*
Dick: *taking a deep breath* Okay... Let's just all work together. Red Robin, Red Hood can't do much, but he can at least help you hold some things alright? Like an ouija board.
Damian: ....okay. Red Robin *looks pointedly at Tim* will guide.
Tim: *Nodding as he understands the plan for him to actually do it but make it look like Damian is telling him what to do* And I can just hold it for you...
Damian: *Nodding as well* Yes.
Jason: *sighs* Yeah, alright. We all work together like that when we need to do stuff and it'll work.
Dick: *nods once* Good, then we have a plan.
The league: *watching them converse as they're all huddled up*
Hal: Yeah, they're definitely grieving. They're sticking together like glue.
Flash: Yeah.... I feel bad, they must be so scared to lose each other. Maybe we should just send them home? We can probably find some others to help us, or do this mission on a different day?
Superman: *looking worried* No, I don't think that will work. Batman got like this when the second Robin died. He through himself into work and refused to talk about it. At least this time he doesn't seem to be pulling away from the rest of the family, but I don't want to risk upsetting them and possibly making it worse by trying to send them home.
Wonder Woman: You're right. Grief is complicated and different for everyone. Right now it seems they need to be busy and focus on something else than Robin.
Flash: Okay, so we just let them be, finish the mission and try not to remind them of it for a while. And then later when can check up on them.
The rest of the league: *nods in agreement*
