A white person chiming in to a conversation about racism to say "I'm sorry for being white" or "white people suck, I say this as a white person" is just a masturbatory way to try to assuage your own feelings of shame without actually doing anything. It doesn't make you look like "one of the good ones." It makes you look like someone who centers your own feelings about it.

Sinners 's problem isn't a racism one. It is a queer one.

You see people like the racist who made a whole sideblog to say this racist nonsense in the previous post and tags to accuse Black people of being homophobic while completely misunderstanding what Sinners was about to justify obsessing over the racist white villain as queer praxis, and you understand why Black people, including the LGBT+ ones, say that maybe non-Black people should be banned from engaging with that movie.
