"Enable Custom Theme" - and blog formats - and chronological searching
A Rundown on a weird way Tumblr works:
OK, so here's a rundown of some Tumblr features - at this point if you make a new blog, especially a new SIDEblog, it defaults to having a very limited layout, and only appearing at the address " www.tumblr .com/blog-name" . There is, last time I checked, a quick way to give your blog the more flexible layout and let it show up at "blog-name.tumblr .com/" (like a normal fuckin blog from the times before, tbh).
To do this, go to your blog's settings and click the button to "Enable Custom Theme" , it looks like this:
Chronological Searching
The added perk!
The other thing I like about this personally, is that once you get the old expanded blog format back, you can search tags on your (side)blog chronologically! by adding /tagged/(insert your tag here)/chrono to the end of the address!
This is also of interest to me in a halfway self-interested manner, because one thing I like to read is catalogues or liveblogs of media - and those are handy (at least imo) to read chronologically.
But this is a piece of info I'm putting out here anyway just for general ref. And have a nice day!
