the continued erasure of suki as a key member of team avatar is something that genuinely baffles me.
she's not in legend of korra (not even by name), she's not in 90% of promo and merch content of the gaang, when she IS included she's either in her prisoner uniform or her kyoshi warrior uniform - never just in regular clothing like everyone else. she is constantly shoved to the side and forgotten by the fandom, with people bringing up yue more than her in regards to sokka (when he is actively dating suki). there's no information on their relationship after the show's end aside from a few moments in the comics. and she was not in the new movie at all, when she absolutely could have been included very easily. it's sad and embarrassing and it really makes no sense at all.
without her, the final battle would not have been won. sokka and toph would have died on the airship. without her, appa wouldn't have made it back to aang. she is a VITAL character and we need to start treating her as such.
Hey, so normally I have a policy of never blocking anyone until like the 5th offense, or telling anyone to fuck off based on their politics, because I believe that everyone has the right to see evidence that we aren't completely doomed, and because feelings of pervasive hopelessness and despair are major factors in radicalization and far-right/alt-right recruitment.
