“i was in the neighborhood so i thought i’d stop by. business to take care of. all done. headed back to bring your cousin dinner.”
she holds out a bag to the forever-bird, a sack of french fries and four cheeseburgers — two between them.
“hang out for a bit? i feel weird when i don’t see you for more than a week — my fault. i had to stay gotham-bound for a job.”
she likes catching up. it stresses her out, that she’s far from the memory that she’s just a phone call away.
